I am pretty sure Joshua, Fury, Pacquiao, Lomachenko are all far better known than Canelo. Even Wilder.

Canelo and his team also are to blame. They are allowed to pick and choose fights, and they didn't want any smoke with andrade/charlo, rejected a ggg fight last year (even that fight has lost its lustre), failed negotiating properly with BJ saunders/derevyanchenko/callum smith, took a fight no one was asking for in rocky fielding, and the kovalev fight was choosen at the worst time (competing with UFC, and making boxing look bad by waiting for the main even to be over). It was just poor planning and execution from the face of boxing and his team.

But when it comes to Barbies you collect those dolls without worrying about criticism?

Canelo WOULD get that type of deal though by every network. His average is pretty much on par with what Floyd got with SHO six years prior.

Back to GGG, can't hate how he and his team negotiated. They used PBC/TR as leverage and got a monster deal from DAZN. This is a guy who is now doing barely over a million gate and the viewers don't come close to Canelo.

Paying Andrade multiple million a fight and Farmer seven figures is horrendous.

Paying Mikey like 7-8 million against Vargas is terrible.

You get the point. DAZN used boxing to get in stateside but quickly realized this is just a niche sport and very few truly draw. Canelo though? He IS DAZN at this point.
totally agree on farmer, andrade, mikey....plus paying chenko and jacobs like 18-19 mil total to be "opponents" wasnt all that bright either

i think they truly thought they could poach alot of als guys by throwing big numbers and money at them not realizing that those guys actually make more than their listed purses and do pretty well themselves...and those guys trust als guidance

bringing in AJ and canelo was smart.....paying to bring golovkin in basically for a 3rd fight that not many really care about and they still havent gotten is a disaster.....they still cant get andrade in a meaningful fight people are actually excited to see.....and the pandemic is just another monkey wrench in the whole thing....

... DAZN isn't responsible for anything...

... Canelo should have easily stuck to his "regular" PPV business -- which he didn't... so, he's the one responsible for the present mess...

in wilders last 4 fights hes made 100 mil lol....

your understanding of the DAZN deal he "lost out on" is not very good....in fact he still wouldnt have fought AJ because AJ still would have fought ruiz under that deal and then had to rematch him

wilder was in the top 5 highest paid guys in all of combat sports last year...and hes made 100 mil in his last 4 fights...how many US born boxers that are currently fighting have made 100 mil? in fact how many current boxers have touched 100 mil? canelo, AJ, pac, fury? golovkinn maybe approaching if you count DAZN shares? yeah wilder is in that category.....his people have done right by him for a limited fighter

youre just a hating POS fgt

I'll never understand just why ODLH and Canelo rushed into doing business with some shady Ukrainians...

Why are we talking Dazn. It’s the biggest flop in sports history.
