Cats out here want to call any fighter over 35 an elderly (Ortiz case in point) but show me one of those armchair trainers who will go 5 rounds with Briggs bare knuckle right now. Shiet give Briggs 10oz gloves.

Briggs is a problem in BKFC. I think honestly he's a problem for many ranked pros. An aging fighter who is still a threat but not a current champ is high risk low reward though.

How big or well-known is the bare knuckle fighting championship in the US? does it attract ANY viewers?

Maybe it's bigger than I realise but it seems like SKY sports in the UK getting the exclusive rights to Welsh football.

I've seen loads of shiat boxing matches, loads of boring UFC fights...... don't think I have ever seen a boring bare-knuckler in the car park..... na'mean?

This is awesome. I was always interested in this as a pure "raw" form of fighting, BUT refused to pay PPV for this. This is YET another reason to renew DAZN subscription as soon as boxing is back.

Surprised a few are critical on here as this seems a sensible move. The cost will be relatively low but it clearly fits well with their other sports (I.e combat). They won’t see this as a subscriber driver but will be a content filler - much the same as Netflix have volume of content which many wouldn’t consider paying subscription for specifically but it’s a selling point that they have the volume choices.

All fine and good, but it isn’t popular as you asked. It doesn’t attract to same crowd that watches boxing

There were consistently ~35,000 watching the Youtube stream last night. It was also streaming on Facebook Live and their new Bare Knuckle TV app, not sure what kind of numbers they did there.

That's with none of their big name fighters on the card and almost zero promotion. Shannon Briggs vs Ricco Rodriguez or Dat Nguyen vs Johnny Bedford might do some worthwhile numbers for DAZN.
