Originally posted by Greenfield02 View PostFirst off, Trout is not a big puncher, second you got the wrong Charlo. Jermall which is the 160 Charlo and the guy fighting Chenko never fought Trout, that was Jermell the 154 Charlo, and I'm pretty sure 154 Charlo which is Jermell is also the one who fought JRock, not positive but pretty sure. Of the 2, 154 Charlo has fought way better competition than 160 Charlo who's resume is pretty thin. So your confused brother, even if 160 Charlo fought JRock, JRock is nothing special. This will be the fight that determines how good Jermall (160) Charlo is.
Both Charlos fought Trout. Jermall actually fought him first.
Jermall held the IBF belt when he was at 154lbs. He won that belt by beating Austin Trout.
Jermell then fought Trout too after Trout fought Hurd.
You clearly don't know what you're talking about. You accuse me of not knowing the difference between the Charlo but quite clearly, based on this post, you are the one who doesn't know which is which.
You further prove this by saying that Jermell is the one that fought Jrock. Jermell has never fought Jrock.
It was Jermall who defended his IBF title at 154lbs against his Mandatory challenger Julian Jrock Williams.
Lol, man you just made a complete ass of yourself. But it's cool, shieet happens.
Anyway Jrock went on to win three titles at the weight when be beat Hurd and knocked him down.
Hurd is known to have a granite chin, so you can't say Charlo has never faced someone who can punch.
Yes, Jrock ain't a KO artist but neither is Chenko. If Jrock didn't have the power to hurt Charlo then neither does Chenko. It's really that simple.

Look I get it some people just HATE the Charlo Brothers and that is fine BUT these are good fights and key fights in their Divisions so I don't see how people will even try to discredit these wins if they can even pull it off because Derevyenchenko and Rosario are very Dangerous Opponents and both could pull the upsets...not even sure I would consider either a upset in my eyes because I know how good Derevyenchenko is and I've seen how much Rosario has improved since the Gallimore Stoppage
So if Jermall beats Derevyencheko that is a excellent win and if he can get the stoppage yes that would be even more impressive!
Canelo SHOULD fight the winner of this fight especially if the PPV does well and I think Canelo will be more than Willing to fight the Winner. Canelo always fight the guys fans want to see him fight EVENTUALLY!
As posted in another thread I want Canelo vs Charlo, Andrade, Benavidez, Plant, Smith, BJS, I will take a 3rd fight with GGG as well. That Cements his Legacy IMO and I think he can get a win over all of them. Regardless if I think he would beat them all...Yes I still need to actually see it happen!

Derevyanchenko is something like Porter at 147. Top 5 guy, who will never be just on the top, but he is hard to beat and nearly impossible to stop. Maybe unfair comparison for Porter, because he is two time world champ, while derevyanchenko has never been a champ, but I think you get the point.

Do I think Canelo is great? Not entirely, I think he is very good but I think he still has room for improvement. The problem is that Canelo is the new Floyd and he is the one everyone wants to fight because he is the one generating the most money. If people want a slice of that pie they need to bring something to the table. Canelo fights twice a year, he is not going to risk one of the fights on a good opponent that will not generate good to great money. He has contracts and obligations to other people not just himself and they have just as much say on who he fights, sad to say.
