Canelo is a talent that's been matched well in fights with very, very, very predictable outcomes. Canelo clearly avoided Andrade, Charlo, BJS, Derevyanchenko and Sulęcki because they are all tough fights.

One one hand we have a young, big and strong puncher, on the other hand we have a very good boxer that shows tremendous heart and determination. How well will Charlo fare with endless pressure? I want to see how well he does fighting defensively. I favor Derevyanchenko as the smarter better boxer as long as he avoids taking too much punishment. Charlo is not great but he still hits hard enough to make a difference.

I do not think the toughness of the fight matters. I think it is the product that would be produced as well as the money generated. None of those fighters you mentioned are exciting to watch or bring anything new against Canelo. If Canelo was avoiding tough fights he would not have fought Ggg twice when most fans were saying he was ducking him. Andrade is a boring fighter in most paying customers eyes. Charlo is all talk and has no real substance when it comes to his opponents. BJS is a roller coaster and who knows if he will ever fight. I have not heard of any match up with Derev so that can always happen especially if Derev beats Charlo.

In the world of Prize fighting you need to bring something to the table if you want to fight the top dog. None of the fighters you mentioned stand out and come away as clear worthy opponents.

I hope it goes the other way around and Derev knocks this guy out, he deserves a big win plus can’t stand the twins’ bile attitude and weak level of opposition

Now how about that? I never knew Matvey's patronymic before and never thought to check.

Unfortunately his lack of chin and stamina are the main things that prevented Matvey from rivaling GGG for middleweight dominance through the teens. As a pure boxer Korobov is up there with the best in the sport and I was actually kinda surprised when he was chosen as Jermalls late replacement cos of the potential threat he offered.

Derevyanchenko ain't as skilled, but he also doesn'tt have Korobov major liabilities in the chin and stamina departments.

Hell of a fight this one.

                Just wondering.

Charlo vs Sergiy took years to make and both fight for Haymon. Why so long?

While Derevyanchenko was fighting Jacobs, Culcay and GGG.... Charlo was fighting Hogan, Adams and Centeno Jr.

                Just sayn, kind of weird...no?

This is risky for Charlo. He may get knocked out

Considering Jacobs and GGG went the distance with Sergiy Derevyanchenko, I imagine some critics will credit a KO victory by Jermall, to Jacobs and Golovkin ; as they inflicted significant punishment on Sergiy Derevyanchenko for 24 rounds.

Both Jacobs and Golovkin dropped Derev. Yet, as you noted Sergiy Derevyanchenkos remarkble 'chin' and heart and 'stamina' propelled him to effectively compete despite hitting the 'Matt'.
