You are right, and Davis doesn't give a crap about belts. Hopefully you are not one of the Golovkin lovers who argues his '20 title defenses' of this garbage trinket.

This is absolutely comical.. WBA continues to do whatever Uncle Al says.

As bad as the WBO is with Old Man Bob.

Boxing just won’t allow for any common sense integrity measures

This fight should be a cake walk for Gervonta Davis. It's like whole bread and sour milk. Santa Cruz has absolutely nothing to threaten Davis in the ring with.

His punches are very slow. He can't hit and is not the most fundamentally sound of fighters. The only athletic advantages he has over Davis is volume punching and cardiovascular conditioning; Coupled with the physical advantages of height and reach.

He averages about 1100 punches per fight. Also, he has perhaps a better jab than Tank when he so chooses to use it until decides to abandon it and throw caution to the wind.

Idk bout that. I guess if that's the plan that's the plan, but idk about Tank making 130 at the weigh in.

My curiosity is why it doesn't happen more when champions jump down a weight class .

It's rare. The fighter who fights in two different divisions simultaneously should be commended not criticized. There's no rule preventing it.

It should happen more if fighters are so confident. Like let's say Loma fighting in both divisions if the money is right.

Or maybe people want them to fight at a catchtweight of 131?

Personally, I'm fine with a 10-pound differential between smaller boxers, if both agree. Anything within that limit, it should be a fair game. Screw the commissions and the corrupt belt orgs.
