About a month ago I suggested that Devin Haney (being shut out of all the top 135 fights) should fight Richard Commey. Another poster told me, "No way, Commey just got KO'd, he doesn't deserve a title fight!" I had to agree with him, because he was right, but then this:
July 22, 2020:
Devin Haney says he’s negotiating with Yuriorkis Gamboa for fight
"Haney said on Twitter that he’s negotiating for a fight with Yuriorkis Gamboa, the 38-year-old Cuban fighter last seen losing to Gervonta Davis in Dec. 2019, where he suffered a torn Achilles and underwent surgery in January. Gamboa has reportedly been recovering well and was planning a September return as of March..."
So how does Haney vs. Commey look now?Comment

Agreed 100%, seems like LSC could only get a small/medium payday for facing Rigo or GRjt so went for big payday Vs Davis. I can't blame him because we all like money, but will have zero sympathy when he gets knocked out then complains Tank was too bigComment

Solid fight. Two really good fighters. Frankly, I'd prefer a card with LSC/Russell and Tank/Joseph Diaz. These 2 fights are not as big as Tank/LSC but IMO they are more meaningful because they bring each division closer to being unified.Comment

Old Smaller Pillow-fisted Lsc cashing out against Stank! Far from Ppv worthy. All the undefeated in their prime fighters available and some calling Stank out but PbcHaymon continues to protect him by putting him in with past it or light-hitting slow Hispanic fighters....ie the A. Berto protection plan!!Props to Loma for taking on undefeated powerful Lopez - that’s the one to look forward to!!!Comment

What if he wins? I think if the fight is at 130, he has a chance!Comment
