Is Canelo ducking Callum over 6m?

Canelo wouldn't face Fielding without a re-hydration clause, why would anyone think for a minute he would face Smith without one? Smith really should not even be fighting at 168 anymore, he can't afford a single ounce.Comment

Smith is damn sure who he should be fighting. He should have fought Smith instead of Fielding because Smith had KOed Fielding in the first round before Canelo fought Fielding. Canelo is not a champion at 168. Smith is the consensus true champion at 168. If Canelo wants to accurately call himself the champ at 168 he needs to beat Smith. Canelo is getting his usual 35 million and was given an additional 5 million to pay his opponent. Smith is willing to fight Canelo in Canelo's boxing home town of Vegas. Smith is asking much less than 5 million to put his title on the line. Everything is set up perfectly for Canelo. He has a chance to fight the number 1 champ at 168. If he doesn't jump on Callum Smith then I think he is avoiding Smith and will never fight him.Comment

I did not know Smith was asking 6 million. Smith should accept 5 million. That is good pay for him. I doubt he ever made that much money before or ever will again. If Canelo offers him 5 million he should take it. If he loses he was very well paid and if he wins it is a gigantic boost for his career.Comment

asking for more than 5 mil on current times is pricing out, so smith will be ducking if he doesnt take it... i honestly doubt that they are offering that type of money to anyobody... thats just too much for a fight with no gate revenue...callum-smith-offered-5-million-to-face-canelo-on-sept-12
I honestly think Callum deserves 10+, but good on him for asking for 6m just to get the fight done.
Reynoso already said Callum was their main choice a couple of days ago.
If Canelo or GBP doesn't give Callum Smith 6m, I'm calling it BS, and I think I'm finding someone else to follow.Comment
