What they saw was a boring fighter taking advantage of handpicked opponents. No casual was tuning into all those Mayweather fights. It was practically a new crop of curious minds every time out. He was taking all these people who were on the fence about the sport and left them with a bad taste in their mouths. Turned a lot of people away. Ruined boxing.

How could one boxer ruin boxing for a whole country? Mayweather just fought and beat a bunch of good fighters and made a fortune. That is not illegal and harms nobody except the fighters he beat. Anyone who did not like the way he won fights had the option not to watch.
