  • Comments Thread For: Hearn Talks Fury-Joshua Meeting, Joshua-Pulev, Wilder, Whyte, More

While Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua seem convinced that they will box each other twice in 2021, Eddie Hearn says there are still major hurdles to overcome if that is to become a reality.

Why did AJ agree to fight fury for a 50/50 and sort out details later. But when Wilder offered AJ when he asked for $50M 50/50 split Hearn couldn’t agree because he claimed he had no details? Isn’t both situations the same?

No, the situations were not the same.

Wilder's team made an offer to AJ via social media and refused to even pick up a phone and talk to Hearn about the details when he told them he was interested in their offer.

Fury's team spent weeks talking to Hearn behind the scenes about the details of a Fury/AJ fight.

The details that need sorting out later are around the mandatory defences which Fury and AJ have to get through before they can fight each other.

          What did I lie about?

Wilder made AJ an offer via social media. Finkel refused to discuss the details with Hearn unless AJ said he accepted the offer first. Those are verifiable facts

Fury's team talked to Hearn behind the scenes and agreed on all the terms for an AJ/Fury fight, but they have to wait to see what happens with both guy's mando defences before anything can be finalised.

Again, all verifiable facts. So where did i lie?

Hearn received an offer via email and confirmed it with Dan RAFEAL formerly of ESPN. Hearn received details and was told by Finkel accept the $50M that Joshua asked for then they can meet and discuss the rest of the details.

You say Fury v Joshua have all of the details... which is a lie!
What’s the date, venue, who are the US & UK broadcasters? Warren said the only thing that was agreed to was the financials which Hearn refused to do concerning a wilder fight smh

I have the links to everything I’ve said. Just admit Hearn didn’t want the wilder fight!!!

On a side note to his Interview, Snookers biggest star thinks it's an unnecessary risk to allow fans into the crucible.. crucible is tiny and Sheffield and the surrounding areas esp Rotherham have/are being hit bad... There's been talk of another lockdown in the area. Im in the middle of it..monies potentially earned in a theatre with about 2/2.5 thousand capacity isn't worth the risk. I know it has to do something at some point but I can't see the value in it anytime soon..

Back to boxing.. there are no major hurdle's for anyone other than Hearn who is trying to juggle his clients and keep them all happy.. ultimately he wants the AJ v Fury so he needs to make that decision. It's the money fight, the fight everyone wants over the others... Are they ever going to get that opportunity again? All for, in reality, 2 boxers with not a great deal to offer in comparison...

I think in the current climate that Boxing could do with Fury/AJ fight just as much as both fighters and fans..

Give it up mate. Nobody was scared of Bum Squad. He was the most protected HW champ in boxing history. Wlad, Parker, Whyte and AJ all wanted to fight him and he ducked every one of them.

He and the lying cunts who handled hm cherry picked Fury because they thought he was done, but even a 50% version of Fury was too much for the Alabama twerk queen.

The Fury/Joshua deal behind closed doors was easier to "make" very obviously because of the pandemic.
If Wilder beat Fury last fight, Wilder vs Joshua would be arranged just as easily.
The fighters and promoters are all going to be less tough negotiating given the obvious lack of revenue in boxing right now.
