There are millions and millions of people who will always like to see Floyd Mayweather boxing in the ring be it an exhibition or whatever. The guy is a legend.
Millions and millions? Pretty ****** post. No offense!
Because Uchiyama was a very good fighter, he's young enough still at 40 compared to Floyd and still in fighting shape so Floyd doesn't want to risk his official 0 on the record. Remember Uchiyama has some serious power so it's still a risk to some degree for Floyd to take him on. Exhibitions are the easy way to circumvent that risk of his oh so coveted 0 (that no one cares about) and still make bucketloads.
You actually honestly believe that Uchiyama has a chance of beating Mayweather in the boxing match?
Assuming Uchiyama caught him (which he never would), would it really matter if it was on Mayweather’s official record or not?
People would use “Floyd Mayweather got knocked out by a 40 year old retired super featherweight in a four round exhibition fight” as an argument against his greatness.
So again, I don’t see the point of an exhibition.
I would actually be totally down for this if it was a 10 round fight at 154. I think it would be fun. I would expect Mayweather to win by knockout and to be a 40-1 favorite, but a big boxing match in Japan would be cool and I would watch it.
I have trouble caring about exhibitions at all to be honest. I would probably catch it on YouTube if I heard something exciting happened.
So that’s my point. There’s no reason not to make it real and the reason to make it real is amping up the excitement factor.
