As the great Ric Flair said, to be the man you have to beat the man.

Beat Canelo then you can get the huge payday in the inevitable rematch. The big money comes after you win not before.

Lol. It's 99% likely about nothing because there is only a 1% chance Quigley gets the fight. NSB is desperate putting out 'news' like this - would rather read interviews with trainers or old-timers.

        I disagree with your assertions.
1/ I had Ryder beating Smith.
2/ Ryder doesn't have almost no chance. He has no chance.
3/ Canelo will not be losing sleep about Lemieux.

Lemieux was out-boxed by GGG when he was in his prime. BJS made Lemieux look ******. Canelo made GGG miss in the first fight. All Canelo has to do against Lemieux is move and counter, rounds 4-6 he gets a stoppage.

It doesn't surprise me that this ****** cokehead is trying to use the pandemic as an excuse to low ball fighters. He was doing this before COVID-19. Instead of being a real man and staying at 175 to unify with Bivol or Beterbiev like a real champion, or finally facing Andrade at 160, this red-headed CHUMP will get away with fighting a body bag like Lemieux or Quigley and the same beta boys who trash Crawford for fighting the likes of Mean Machine and Benavidez will hug Canelo's sack as though their lives depended on it. Watch.

This is a convenient generalization DLH is using and he, of all people, should know better.

True, an A-side calls the shots.

But the market has its say too. What the fight is potentially worth plays a part too.

Say the champ has 4 potential opponents. All are good. All will make decent fights. Fighters A, B, and C are projected to only attract about 200 ppv buys or subscribers. That's because as good as they are, it's generally thought the champ can beat them. The champ generally takes 75 to 80 percent from these guys.

Fighter D is different. Some think fighter D is as good or better than the champ. There's a lot of interest in a fight between the champ and fighter D. Their fight is projected to do 500 ppv buys. Fighter D says he wants 50/50 and won't settle for much less.

If the champ's promoter claims fighter D is "pricing himself out", that promoter is either an idiot, is way too greedy, or simply doesn't want to put his champ in with fighter D.

                Here's why.

With the other fighters, the champ gets the revenue from 150 to 160 buys. But, even if he split 50/50 with D, he'd wind up with the money from 250 buys, a huge increase from his normal paydays.

The fight is only worth more because of fighter D, and therefore fighter D deserves a fair share.

It can't be "pricing himself out" if your own upside improves substantially because of the opponent.

A fighter will be against the judges
Against the WBC who allow Canelo to use clenbuterol
Won't have an audience in the arena
won't have an audience thru dazn, cause no one has the app
                    and won't get paid right?
what then are the benefits of this fight?

12 million for Golovkin came from DAZN not Canelo.
