Calzaghe overrated IMO. His best wins are Kessler, old Roy Jones and old Hopkins.

There is no other way of putting this than direct avoidance of a tough fight. It is the pattern of Joes whole career. Frochs is the polar opposite.Last edited by DreamFighter; 07-17-2020, 11:58 AM.

He's just one of those chip-on-his-shoulder kinda guys. Was not in Calzaghe and Ward's league, but he was a great champion.
It's funny, he and Ward hate each other but they have the exact same personality: always negative, always complaining. You'd think they'd be best friends.

Froch has always been a salty guy. In retirement he's gotten worse. He was never on the same level as Calzaghe.

This I agree. He wouldn't so much as face a naturally smaller man in Gennady Golovkin at a 168 lbs for fear of being chinned by him.
Had that fight been offered to either Calazghe or Ward they wouldn't have so much as hesitated at the chance of fighting him at Super middleweight.
For example, Andre Ward was never offered the opportunity to fight Lil' G at 168.

Originally posted by DreamFighter View Postit is a fact that Froch was Joes next mandated SMW opponent, and Joe chose not to turn up for the fight. Facing an uninjured Kessler in Denmark would have been as tough too, he was screaming for his rematch after his hand surgery.

They feel inferior for a reason.
