No not really. The PBC business model is a lot different from most other promotional companies. Unless there is a pay per view event, they don't need a live gate in order to earn money because the majority of their revenue is derived from television licensing fees anyhow like Showtime and Fox.
Will PBC fighters be affected by Pay Cuts?

Yes but the PBC consistent formula was based on a non disruptive network model. My question was a rhetorical one by the way.No not really. Unfortunately, Ryan Garcia fights for the DAZN which is a solely online subscription based stand alone streaming service.
Which means the fewer subscribers DAZN has the less money they could afford of paying their fighters; Which is why Canelo is taking a substantial pay cut.
Canelo gets it but obviously RG doesn't. This kid should just be grateful that he still has a job and can work to earn a living. There are millions of Americans who are currently unemployed at the moment due to this pandemic.
DAZN has taking a major L throughout this ordeal. I am pretty sure that they had to furlough hundreds of workers due to this pandemic because they are lacking the resources to pay them.
My advice to Ryan Garcia is to take the pay cut or let DAZN go out of business. The choice is his to choose.Comment
