I can't understand how anyone can pay to watch Andrade. It's painful to watch his fights. Literally.

I will echo the other responses but add this. Every time Andrade decided to employ a "safety first" approach to his fights, he was making a business decision. There were countless times where he's dropped, hurt or had opponents in a situation where he could have taken a more aggressive approach and got the stoppage.

He's hasn't developed a following or name in boxing that translates into revenue. His fights aren't exciting, he's had long stretches of inactivity and he hasn't fought notable opponents.

If you watch the recent Top Rank cards, you see fighters stepping into the ring for small money often multiple times in a month, in the hope of gaining exposure, fanbases and rankings. Sometimes you have to risk a little to gain a little in life and Andrade's risk averse approach to the business is paying him back in spades.

Makes sense but remember, you have no pull and people aren't interested in watching you fight. You'll have to take less money or get a job doing something else for a living.

In the conversation about pay we should not be limiting ourselves to the pay of the boxers, who actually take health/life risks every time they even train, not to mention fighting. How's the pay of networks/broadcaster, promoters? Anyone on that front is willing to take a paycut? No? Then, why should the burden be all on a fighter? Let broadcasters and promoters stack up a card headlined by Carlos Tacams of this world.

Andrade is speaking the truth.

Unlike some people on this board, I appreciate Andrade's skill and love watching him fight. I amazed that so many people call themselves BOXING fans and don't appreciate real boxing skills. Demetrius is right. Why would you pay all that money to a few fighters and expect everyone else to take a pay cut. That's bad business on DAZN's part. GGG is fading, hasn't fought tough competition lately, 38 years old and on his way out of the sport. The reason the top fighters won't fight 'Boo Boo' is because of his skills. Don't believe or buy into the "he's boring" talk. He's avoided for good reason. He's a good boxer, Canelo can't handle good boxers. Look at what happened with Floyd, Khan for a rew rounds, Lara.
