Of course the best part is a cordial conversation with someone who knows their boxing even if their are differences of opinions!

Surprised Canelo is fighting Frank Buglioni. That's the big one, imo. To hell with that Beterbiev bum

It was a fight that boxing coaches will show young fighters how to beat a heavy handed opponent with a good chin, just work the body and counter the jab with a left hook!

You’re right, Canelo did drop the belt so then he’ll be number 1 simultaneously in 2 divisions, so I was wrong then!

Beterbiev’s win over Gvozdyk is great but let’s be honest, Kovalev even past prime is still a better scalp cuz he’ll be in the HOF and regarded as one of the greatest light heavyweights of all time while Gvozdyk’s reign was very short and then retired when he met his match an we’ll never know how good he could’ve been!

So to me Canelo is/was number 1 at 175!

And yeah you got me there admittedly that I wouldn’t bet money on either Smith/Ryder vs Plant/Benavidez but I’m not talking about match ups per say I mean who has the best win at 168 an deserves that distinction and Ryder has that!

Plant’s win over Uzcategui looks worse and worse now and Benavidez’s win over Dirrell is arguably the more solid out of the bunch but he’s past his prime an arguably was losing against Yildrim till that cut saved him and awarded him the title as he slowing down in the fight!

        Listen, these are the facts!

Canelo vs Ryder is for super middleweight supremacy while Smith/Plant/Benavidez/ can all sort each other out to see who gets Canelo next year!
I disagree with a lot of what you said, including the belief that Canelo put on some sort of a legendary clinic vs ggg in the rematch (he was outlanded in that fight and only 2 of 50 press row scorecards had him winning) and I also disagree that Canelo vs Ryder will be for smw supremacy... But it's your opinion, I won't change it, so fair enough.

Canelo vs Ryder for super middleweight supremacy!
They mad cause Salido whooped on Loma that they discredit Ryder’s inside game against Smith.

Anyways Canelo vs Ryder would be fun while it lasted while I believe Canelo vs Smith would be boring like Canelo vs Kovalev until Canelo catches Smith with either brutal headshot KO or crippling body shot KO late!
Well Ryder was with Hearn too, but it just seems that John's one of those dudes who just doesn't seem to get the luck or the favour of the judges despite being one of the real nice guys of the British sport. Don't think anyone would have complained much if he'd been given the draw against Saunders either and he was beating Blackwell comfortably until he got clipped.

Little interview with Sims here bout his weight issues at 160.

Far as I'm concerned he deserves the Canelo shot as much as anyone and he's right it'd definitely be a bit of karma for him to get the payday over Mundo.

Fair enough we have to agree to disagree!

I don’t need “press row” to let me know who won the fight when most of those guys probably never even stepped in a gym in their life, let alone spar someone!

Canelo was pressing the action and walking Golovkin down most of the fight!

Most boxing experts said they had Canelo beating Golovkin in the second fight cuz he landed the more impactful punches all night to the head and especially body while Golovkin landed his signature jabs and occasional hooks!

A 3rd fight will end in no other way but a Knockout victory for Alvarez and he’ll once again not get credit despite no one ever able to KO Golovkin!

              Now your prediction for

              Canelo vs Ryder

              Golovkin vs Smith

              Let’s have it!

Lol I still remember Loma fans saying the Salido lost doesn’t count cuz Salido was fighting dirty yet some of these same Loma fans are praising Tyson Fury when he beat Wilder yet Fury was wrestling, leaning on the neck and back, holding and hitting and punching behind Wilder’s head nearly all night!

You can’t make this stuff up!

Ryder was whooping on Smith and if that was a 15 round fight I think Ryder would’ve forced a stoppage cuz Smith looked weak and tired and damaged late in that fight!

Ryder’s one of those guys that fights to the level of his competition which is why I feel the Canelo fight would be a good one!

Smith I feel would be meeting his worst style match up in Canelo! A short stocky guy with good head movement and can pressure well while fighting very good on the inside with great bodywork!

well aside from press row, lennox Lewis, Daniel Jacobs, Paulie Malignaggi, teddy atlas, are all examples of people who had ggg winning the rematch. Moot point either way. I think Canelo beats Ryder, likely by lopsided decision. I'd pick Smith to beat ggg at this point of GGG's career. He's the younger, bigger and stronger man, and I thing the 2nd Canelo fight and fight with derveyenchenko took a lot out of Ggg. The only x factor is if Smith is struggling to make 168 which may possibly be the case.

                      Touché ...

I would go with Canelo by TKO in 10 and Golovkin by TKO 11!

This period of rest will probably help Golovkin but not Callum Smith who has to kill himself to make 168 while Golovkin won’t have to sacrifice as much moving up!

I think if a healthy Golovkin (not the sick Golovkin in the Dervyachenko fight) shows up then I think he’ll put the pressure needed on Callum, he has the chin and educated jab and power to get respect plus he can work the body very well(unless your Canelo) and I see this happening and eventually getting to Smith and stopping him with lethal body shots!
