It’s boxing and it could happen to anyone!

Like I told him, the greats have lost to fighter they should’ve easily beaten but styles makes fights and anyone can have a off night or come on injured/unfocused!

Ryder beating Smith with everything against him kind of washes away his defeats to low level fighters!

Your post is very funny. Lots of people won't get your humor and take it seriously but it's meant to be a joke and I get it. Very funny.

Yes he lost to low level fighters but that’s boxing and it could happen, we’ve seen the greats lose to fighters they should’ve beaten in their sleep!

Ryder’s “win” over Smith alone is better than anything Benavidez and Plant has done combined!

That’s why I said Canelo vs Ryder for super middleweight supremacy!

If the judges didn’t take the envelope from Hearns, Ryder would be the WBA/WBC interim/Lineal/Ring champion!

Canelo beating Ryder should make him the consensus number 1 like he is at 175 and 160 but it looks like he’s done with 160 for good so let’s just say for now his win over an undefeated Golovkin is Better than anything anyone has done at 160 and his KO over 3x champ Kovalev is better than anything anyone has done at 175 (minus Eleider Alvarez/Beterbiev)!

Like I said, it’s part joke but there’s some truth to it!

OK, but that's a lot of hypotheticals. That's like saying that had canelo lost to ggg like most had him doing, then we wouldn't even be discussing him being #1 at mw, would we? And is Canelo really #1 at 175? I'm pretty sure that distinction belongs to beterbiev, especially with Canelo immediately dropping his belt. But back to 168, do you really think Ryder or Smith would beat benavidez or plant if they were to face? I don't.

Wide consensus is that Ryder deserved the nod over Fielding. The Arnfield fight was close but the decision not unreasonable - kinda coulda gone either way but fair enough IMO. John should be unbeaten at 168 though and I think he suits the weight better, strong and stocky, built not entirely unlike Canelo himself FWIW.

alvarez needs to be fighting at lightheavyweight either beterbiev or bivol not picking on some undersized 168 pounder

Idk why Smith's name keeps getting thrown around. I mean he turned down 8 million plus incentives because he wanted 15 million instead. So if he turned down the fight because of money, how in the hell is he going to get this fight with no live gate, even Canelo is taking a pay cut, has Smith all of sudden decided to take less money? Highly doubtful, he acted like a diva during the first negotiations. Ryder beat Smith anyway and deserve a crack, and most likely would not be asking for the stars and the moon like Smith did.

You’ve got to be kidding me lol so two Eddie Hearns guys shafted Ryder!

No wonder Serrano turned down Taylor fighting in Hearns backyard on top of that!

Anyways Canelo vs Ryder would be fun while it lasted while I believe Canelo vs Smith would be boring like Canelo vs Kovalev until Canelo catches Smith with either brutal headshot KO or crippling body shot KO late!

GTFOH! Undersized? Canelo tried 175 once and mostly fought at 160, so now he's big for 168? Sounds like jealousy to me. Nothing but haters.

But the second fight between Canelo and Golovkin was almost like a settle it all contest and Canelo came out on top in a fight that will be remembered for generations!

It was a fight that boxing coaches will show young fighters how to beat a heavy handed opponent with a good chin, just work the body and counter the jab with a left hook!

You’re right, Canelo did drop the belt so then he’ll be number 1 simultaneously in 2 divisions, so I was wrong then!

Beterbiev’s win over Gvozdyk is great but let’s be honest, Kovalev even past prime is still a better scalp cuz he’ll be in the HOF and regarded as one of the greatest light heavyweights of all time while Gvozdyk’s reign was very short and then retired when he met his match an we’ll never know how good he could’ve been!

So to me Canelo is/was number 1 at 175!

And yeah you got me there admittedly that I wouldn’t bet money on either Smith/Ryder vs Plant/Benavidez but I’m not talking about match ups per say I mean who has the best win at 168 an deserves that distinction and Ryder has that!

Plant’s win over Uzcategui looks worse and worse now and Benavidez’s win over Dirrell is arguably the more solid out of the bunch but he’s past his prime an arguably was losing against Yildrim till that cut saved him and awarded him the title as he slowing down in the fight!

                    Listen, these are the facts!

Canelo vs Ryder is for super middleweight supremacy while Smith/Plant/Benavidez/ can all sort each other out to see who gets Canelo next year!

Smith turned down $8m, and that kind of money isn't available for an opponent for this fight, so it isnt gonna be Smith!
