Why postpone? Because the original date being thrown around conflicted with a UFC PPV.

So we are getting two PPVs in October? Interesting.

Well I'll believe it when I see it, but should this ish come to pass then I'll consider it a fitting Birthday present from the gods of boxing to yours truly...

Gotta give Lopez major props for taking this fight and even rejecting interim bouts. He's definitely taking a major risk against Loma. Losing would provide him with a major learning experience and winning would skyrocket him to another level. Loma can't sleep on a guy that is this anxious to fight him.

There will be no live audience. Not after countless bastions of imbeciles threw the USA into a huge spike by not wearing masks and distancing and holding massive pool parties and crowds at beaches and protesting without face coverage. And if Lopez or any other fighter thinks they can wait for a live audience, they can consider themselves retired for at least a year and a half to the point where the vaccine has been out at least a few months, if not longer.

Talk is cheap... especially 3 months out when nothing big has happened in boxing for months & nothing seems officially confirmed & the UFC is business as usual. It's a bad look for boxing.
I think it can happen on a properly promoted PPV... Lot’s of eyes are there to see a great ESPN video promo and sell this fight as the first BIG FIGHT of the COVID era. Plus, Lopez is still young enough and not accustomed to the mega-purse payouts yet. And Loma - well, I think he’ll take the pay cut to be crowned undisputed and solidify his claim to P4P king. Let’s stay positive fellas.

This one's gonna be lit once it finally comes off. The hype for it in the boxing community will be off the charts compared to if it happened in May.

Outside of the heavyweights and welterweights, this is my most anticipated fight.

Lopez is gonna knock Loma out and then move up while Loma is gonna move down to 130 which will leave 135 wide open for Garcia, Haney, and etc.

This COVID hoax needs to start being exposed more on a global scale so things can go back to normal if possible!

This gives Lopez well over 10 weeks to lose 20+ pounds, plenty of time. Hope he doesn't flake out again.

i def give teo major props for wanting this fight and going after it...id also give loma props for taking it as well

i dont see a way lopez can really lose unless he gets beaten jeff lacy style or gets stopped...if he loses he can say he was drained and/or learning experience similar to canelo/floyd.....winning would be huge as you mentioned....so unless he gets beaten so badly and hurt its a win/win for him imo

loma def has to recognize this is his most dangerous opponent so far...i dont think hell underestimate him one bit...
