I agree here lol. Dude walks away with 50 mil for one fight but you're in debt as a company?

You don't need an economics undergrad course to understand why that is facepalm worthy.

You obviously don't understand how businesses operate. If no money is coming in you're losing money. That's about as simple as I can explain it to you.

Mayweather's personal money has nothing to do with his promotional company.

As long as none of these companies laid anyone off, then it is fine.

Which addresses my point that the CEO maybe shouldn't demand such income if the company cannot actually afford it, how exactly?

I'm aware a business cannot operate if there is no money coming in. My entire point is that there might be more money to keep employees etc afloat if as single individual (CEO or otherwise) didn't pocket such a large share of the profits.

It's not even about Floyd really it's a major problem I have with corporate culture. CEOs just don't warrant the money they make ever imo. Not Marc Benioff not anyone. And I have no sympathy for a company that "struggles" when their C suite execs make millions for really not doing more actual work than the mid-high level management directly under them who earn significantly less.

I'm not one to really make a big deal out of purses (even though it's clear by now I'm not a fan of ridiculous purses if the repercussions affect hard working people adversely), but it's crazy to me a company would rather ask for a loan (qualified or not) than just come up with the money internally, which they can certainly do, being that the CEO is or was the highest paid athlete in the world.

                    Only because of personal choice.

If I start a company, and I need to take from my personal savings account to keep afloat for a year, that is a personal decision I am making.

Its ridiculous people want to pretend like it's absurd that a multi millionaire can't throw some money at his own company lol.

This is a smart move by any small business

It’s not that difficult to work the system on this one so why not? The government does its share of working the hell out of folks that will never get a return on their slavery!
