Why can't you do both??? Get up early jog some miles then get a lite workout. Take 1-2 PE classes and after school train some more then get some fights in on the weekend.

Your gonna show up with a busted face and black eye time to time but chicks will love it.

My last two years I took weight training and either PE or lifetime sports.

Then graduate and be ready. You don't need 1000% training at your age.

college is mostly useless unless you make it to Ivy League level universities.

American high school is designed to be a college prep

If I was your age again, I’d start finding ways to make money on the side.

Business can mean freedom unlike 9 to 5’s

And finish high school. A High school degree can help you get an apprenticeship to learn a trade in case boxing isn’t what you expected

High school is easy anyways. You have more than enough time to split between fighting hustling and making passing grades

        I’d say no

If you have a passion you will still find time to do it even if you’re still in school. Even if it means sacrificing social life sometimes to box, then so be it.

Plenty of boxers get to the top of the spot even if they have other commitments, I think Joe Smith Jr was still working a regular job up until he fought Fonfara , So there’s no excuse why you can’t finish high school while taking boxing training seriously. you make time.

It depends if boxing is truly what you want, is it your calling, the saying be careful what you wish for has a lot of not so happy stories attached so think long and hard beyond your years before you decide.

Are you prepared to give it everything you have, and I mean everything, boxing is not a glamorous sport for 99% of players, take a pro tennis player world ranked around 200, he makes good money so does a Golfer etc, a unknown boxer makes from nothing to peanuts, its a very small percentage of boxing that makes a good living, and that means to rise above you must give your soul to being the very best you can be, if you are not prepared to break yourself and then get up and go again, then play the sport and enjoy it dont make it your life, but if you truly have the three Ds for boxing go for it, Desire Dedication Determination.

And you better better be able to really fight.

Good luck whatever way you go.

Depends how good you are, if you can win Golden Gloves or something like that maybe, but probably a good idea to finish school.
To make it in boxing you need more than just talent, you would need a good trainer, promoter and manager to have a real chance.
Look at Mike Tyson, he dropped out (he got in a lot of trouble), but he had a HOFer backing him with Cus and Teddy just made the HOF too, but at the time Teddy was a nobody in the boxing world. It also helped that he was a man even as a kid.
The reality is that most fighters don't go far, just like any other sport.
You have to be honest with yourself, don't be like the people on American Idol that think they talent only to have Simon give them the truth.
Maybe just get up early and run, go to school, get early work release and train after school. Don't just turn pro at 18 and expect things to happen, without a medal or other tournament wins, it would be hard to get to the top.
Marvin Hagler fought something like 50 fights as a pro before getting a title shot, because he didn't win gold like Sugar Ray.

Good Luck with whatever you do, hope it works out.
