True talk, high school diploma doesn't mean much at the moment in terms of education. If you want to further your education down the road, it's always a possibility and there wouldn't be many obstacles.

But one thing that you will miss and can NEVER get a shot at again, is the experience of being a high school kid. People find connections and build social skills during these times, as well as learn about themselves. And whats better than being surrounded by girls your age who are as sexually curious as you are? Trust me, this kind of dynamic is never offered ever again.

God, there’s so many ****** people on this website.

Stay in school. Go to college or get some sort of training that can lead to a career.

There’s so many people in boxing that have other jobs. Like 99% of them. For example, the former WBA champion, and current pro boxer, Andrew Cancio digs holes for a living.

There’s almost a zero percent chance you’re going to be better than him at boxing, so stay in school. Make sure to take care of your actual career.

I’m not saying give up on boxing, but be realistic. Don’t set yourself up to be a loser if you aren’t good enough at boxing.

And even if you do become a top p4p guy and an all time great fighter, you’re still going to have to figure out what to do for money when you’re 40.

So I would suggest getting a bachelor’s in journalism or communications. That way you could call fights for showtime when you retire from your dream boxing career.

And don’t tell me it’s impossible to do both. It’s been done and every NFL athlete has to stay in school until they were juniors in college.

Great post your analogy on any pro football player is spot on. You can be a dedicated boxer and go through school. The way I see it is that only makes you more likely to succeed due to knowing what it takes to dig deep inside yourself to accomplish your goals.

i would avoid the habit of dropping out of long term things, dont let that become a life pattern.

Juan Diaz, former Lightweight champ boxed and went to school so you can do it too. Education is what gets you a permanent job and a future that doesn't end when your physical prime comes to an end.

Also, per my last post, reach out to Juan Diaz...I'm sure you can find a web page or facebook for him or his manager's name on boxrec and look him up and ask for advice and you will get valuable, useful information from him.
