Sounds closer to “my dad can beat up your dad” than reality.

Haye is underrated but it's his own fault. Just too damn inactive and didn't look after his body properly.

I believe you can put his power on Wilders level but he was also skilled and smart too.

          Whut??

          No.

David was a superb athelete and an explosive fighter but he wasn't an elite boxer, least not in my eyes. I wouldn't be unhappy someone arguing he's a top 5 cruiser ever although in my eyes that's possibly generous, but he's certainly not even the most dominant Cruiser, yet alone overall boxer.

cruiser is a horrible division and he doesnt crack the top 5. he gets extra "i was in the spotlight" points but his resume boils down to enzo mac and mormeck near the end of his career.

Too big to be a truly dominant cruiserweight over time, I think. Really he just grabbed the belts and got out. Being able to put some extra weight on at heavyweight seemed to massively improve the suspect chin he showed at cruiser. If cruiser was 210lbs, had more money in it, and he didn't have all the injuries I think a prime Haye would've cleaned up the super series.

Great athlete - Fast, explosive, pretty powerful with some decent reflexes but he was far from a great boxer.

He got destroyed by a 40odd yr old Carl Thompson, he went life and death with a nearing 40yr old shopworn Mormeck who was never the same after those wars with O' Neil Bell. He struggled badly vs Fragomeni.
He avoided all the top CWs but a shopworn Mormeck and a terrible beltholder in Enzo.

David Haye is very overrated and far from this stellar CW which many portray him as.
He should never be in talks as the best CW ever, he almost certainly wasn't even the best CW ever to even hail from England.

David Hayes best quality was to dupe the public time & time again

Haye was a very skilled dude, I remember the way he was dodging Wladimir's jab like ain't no thang, and he was sharp and explosive to boot

I think he could have beaten both Klistchkos if it wasn't for the size differece, and that's saying something because the Kbros are ATG hws

too bad he was a tweener, too big for the cruisers, too small for the HW giants

Its not difficult to slip a jab when you're purely on the defensive and looking to do nothing but that.

David Haye didn't have the fundamentals to beat either Klitschko. He was already soundly outclassed by one that didn't get out of first gear and he was petrified and ducked the other on multiple occasions pulling out of fights.
