Is Tyson Fury overrated ?

He's pretty underrated tbh.

Fury is a special fighter, the type who only come around every 100 years or so. When he puts AJ to sleep, more people will wake up to the fact that Tyson is one of the best HWs the world has ever seen.

when I watch his fights with Cunningham, Walling and the 1st fight with Wilder I can't rate him as the once in every 100 years miracle boxer you say he ia. If he puts AJ to sleep he will have done what Ruiz recently did.

Fury is the Lineal champion and has won every title. He's beaten one old legend and one prime champion. He has no official defenses.

There are alot of reasons why that's not good enough for any 100 yrs malarky.

Yes, he is very overrated. No one is invincible. Depending on the quality of opposition and the length of their careers; All former champions and all-time greats have lost at some point of time in the careers which makes them great.

How is he overated? He clearly is the #1 hw in the division after knocking out wilder and the other guy was knocked out by the muffin man. Noone gave him a chance against klit or wilder in 1st or 2nd fight. He beat klitschko in a way klitschko fights and beat wilder by knocking him out. He moves like a fighter out of middleweight. When was the last time a hw fighter moved like that? He has a great personality as well. Charismatic, funny and most importantly hes natural unlike wilder 'till this day' and 'stay humble yeeeeahh' joshua.

Fair enough, all boxers have under-par performances, but special fighters always find a way to win.

It's easy to look at Fury's worst performances and have a go at him, but look at his best performances. I believe a 100% Tyson Fury is more than a match for anyone past or present.

Ali for example, didn't look amazing all the time, and got dropped by guys like Sonny Banks & Henry Cooper, but obviously you can't judge him off those fights/performances, you have to look at the whole package.

We'll see what happens, Fury could rule for another 10 years and people would still say he isn't fit to lace old timers boots, it is what it is.

He is overrated in terms of resume not being in depth or maybe his resume isn't rated?
But his skills aren't overated. Everyone who met him can't get over the skill of man, he can do things you don't expect from big men.
If Emmanuel steward recognised talent I don't think I can go against general consensus.

I think almost every great fighter gets overrated following their career best performance. Also with AJ getting beat not that long ago, Fury looks a level above the competition right now

you mean when steward was around fury was the same time joshua beat the breaks of him so he wasn’t that good....he also got beat by David price and knocked out the Olympic qualifiers so please stop that bull**** denium.
