Arturo Gatti, Barry McGuigan, Ingemar Johansson, jimmy braddock, Danny Lopez, Ken Norton, Jess Willard, etc

plenty of underserving chumps who were never close to greatness are, somehow, in the Hall of Fame

Broner will join their ranks, probably

He got a blatant gift against Ponce de Leon btw

        those scorecards were ***ed up

and PDL was like 2 or 3 weight classes below him

that fight made me realize Broner was a hypejob

he probably will make the HOF

why don't people accept that the HOF, and ATG... are two different things

you can compare Broner to Gatti

but you simply cannot compare Broner to Pacquiao

meaning that a (often) grand-canyon size gap exists between the two

casual-fans cannot see that... but boxing heads know...

His best win is Malignaggi for crying out loud, with his best performance being against Demarco. He got a gift vs PDL as someone already stated and lost all his fights against people considered near the top. He also lost that Jessie Vargas fight but was given the draw.

The sad thing is having said all that he will probably get in, which is a shame

              nah, that happened years back

people tried to say that Gatti lowered the bar, but it even happened way before him

there is a clear difference between a HOF'er, and a genuine ATG

there will be thousands of HOF'ers... there are likely less than a hundred genuine ATG's...

as the HOF expand their list... the list of ATG's will become more refined

Broner likely is a HOF'er... but he is not a ATG

Thank you for posting that very thing. Great post green sent your way. GGG was irrelevant to the thread but somehow some people dont understand the point in this website.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but having a movie about you doesn't make you great

Braddock was a one hit wonder that got stomped by Joe Louis

and his "wonder" wasn't exactly that great either

Max Baer had 7 previous losses and didn't even train for Braddock.

The upset was considered huge just because everyone considered Braddock a scrub and thought he was gonna get iced easily by the hard punching Baer
