Why? UFC really isn't competition for boxing or vice versa. Both sports have their own core fanbases, as well as crossover fans who support both sports.

People have been saying for the past 15 years or so that UFC will keep getting bigger and take over boxing. Nothing like that even came close to happening.

Now, UFC pretty much peaked out around 8 years ago in the U.S., so if boxing is declining, it has more to do with boxing being sht than the UFC taking over. I think boxing is actually in a better position than UFC at the moment. Boxing has a lot of very young talent, and the UFC isn't very good at building new stars, while their current stars are either retiring or demanding a lot more money than UFC is willing to pay.

        No

Boxing grew slowly by making broadcasts inaccessible and having crappy undercards.

Boxing did this to itself. The people who ran boxing chose short term profits over long term growth of the sport. This isn’t UFC’s fault lol

Boxing could learn a thing or two from UFC promotions

          Boxing is my fav sport

But pulling an undercard out at random I’d bet on UFC having the better undercard

I don't see what would be the motivation to try and sabotage the UFC. It's another opportunity for traditionally low income communities to fight their way out of poverty and make more money than they normally would.

I also don't think the UFC has somehow affected the boxing fan base. The boxing fans that got into UFC still watch boxing, and all the new UFC fans that are not into boxing never were. Every once in a while I hear someone say they used to like boxing but now they watch UFC, but those are just casuals that still ponied up money anytime Mayweather fought, which were the only types of fights they would watch regardless of the UFC.

UFC is what boxing should have been doing
                Good to great match-up cards
                One champion per division
Proper implementation of the rules and rankings

Only thing UFC su.cks are the judges decisions the same as boxing but at least Dana White admitted that it su.cks - ‘never leave the fight at the Judges’ hands’

Actually, UFC stars or talents LOSE in their fights occasionally. They don’t protect/babysit their fighters. Don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing but one good thing for sure is that they produce better match-ups

They're both great sports (boxing being clearly the superior one for my money), but the UFC is ran in a vastly more fan friendly way than boxing. Not so much fighter friendly, though. They give the audience what they want and they don't make them wait for years and years.
