You have a time machine and can stop the UFC

It’s 1992 and the future of combat sports is in your hands. Do you sabotage the UFC or do you step aside?

I'd let it roll out but enforce something where the one man band doesn't suck the trade dry....

I'm a big fan of both, so I wouldnt change a thing. What I would do though is try to help K-1 blow up in America so we could have a third major combat sport option now.

Hell yes I’d get rid of ufc. Nothing personal but I miss the premier days of boxing at the top and I can’t pretend that ufc hasn’t been a significant part of it’s mainstream fall.

Nope, I'm a big fan of both. Ufc has it nailed down at the moment producing even matchups on cards week in week out

I liked the ufc days when there was no weight classes. The very first few were fun to watch cause you never knew who was gonna fight who or what size they'd be. It was good side show circus humor.

It comes around every 300-500 years since 686BC. It's not a big deal in the big picture, I don't think, and UFC isn't really anything special in terms of open rules combat sports popping up and morphing into what we already had.

The specialized sports exist in the first place, and do not disappear for hundreds of years, because we've already ran the experiment a few times and what's going to happen is the generalists will become specialized in their successes and shape the sport into a specialized sport.

You know, in Bare Knuckle they used to gouge eyes out and stomp nuts? Yeah, it's true....those guys got their asses kicked by wrestlers and boxer, then the wrestlers got their asses kicked by boxers and then boxing became a pure punching sport....again.

There are periods when sword, staff, club, and a bag or rocks are totally admissible for a boxing match. They too got punched in their faces and knocked it off.

Point is, it's just human nature. It's a cycle we do. There is no stopping it. Let them have their fun, they'll come to same conclusion they always do.

I watched Quinton Jackson pick up and slam Ricardo Arona into knockoutville. I saw Chuck Liddell muscle his way back to the feet all the time, every time.

The UFC can go though. If you fail
to see how it is eating boxing up then you’re blind.

Why? Boxing would have more reasons to stall fights and piss us off
