    He was ahead on 2 of the judges scorecards, so yes, he would have won if the fight had ended on an accidental cut after the 7th.

      I think Bellew was still ahead on 2 judges scorecards when the KO happened, btw. But Usyk always starts slow and finishes like a train, and Bellew was putting so much into his punches that I knew it was only a matter of time before he faded and Usyk took over.

          Well, he's more skilled than most of his current division, so if he's a "simple straight up and down fighter," then that says a lot. The only active heavyweights I can see outsmarting Usyk are Fury and AJ.
