Deontay Wilder is not a Great, so he does not compare.

I’d say he’s as quick as Ali even throwing power punches which take steam off the velocity,it’s easier throwing light punches . One thing Wilder has is speed ,it’s his best attribute not power as most think and at a 84 inch reach or so that’s what got him out of losing much early in his career .

Mike is a bit faster ,more explosive puncher able to maintain same speeds in combination punching to .

Wilder is extremely fast he’s also one of the lightest 6”7 guys we’ve ever seen at Heavyweight so it’s not far fetched to have a guy like him currently able to throw fast hands ,he’s like 30 pounds lighter then average 6”7 guys .

Wilder's got quick hands but he ain't at the level of those two.

Besides, his right hand which comes from far behind. For Wilder, it is not just speed but setting up the right hand. His weapon is usually the 1-2 combination and most opponents do not see the right hand coming. His jab was good but he hasn't used it much in the last few fights.

Andy Ruiz Jr has got pretty fast hand in today's HW era.

Wilder has very fast hands and knocks anyone out apart from Fury. He'd always have a slight chance, but Fury has great speed himself and judges range so well.

You know his fists have to travel a much longer distance than theirs right?(Actually Ali had some long arms, he was impressive to still have that kind of handspeed).

Wilders hands are notably slower than Fury's.

              Nevermind people from other eras.

Is this a joke? Wilder doesn’t even compare.

When Wilder sets you up his punch is very fast. Not easy to determine if he has fast hands overall though, he hasn't done a lot of combination punching. When he senses you in trouble though, those hands will be coming fast.

If boxing worked liked that then no one would be saying the taller guy has a reach advantage. Ha

Length superceeds speed if that guy is also long , shorter arms have to travel further to reach the target unless they are in top of you ,it’s not the long arm guys have to travel farther looked at as an advantage for a shorter arm ,since when ? Everyone knows having long arms will be easier because they don’t have to get closer at range ,flicking a punch out with 84 inch reach will land before a guy with 81 inch if they throw at the same angle and distance.
