  • Anthony Joshua clearly ducked Deontay Wilder

Let’s take a look at all the things Anthony Joshua couldn’t compromise on until someone not named Deontay Wilder held the WBC title.

50-50 was absolutely outrageous and the only way the unification could happen was if Wilder took a smaller cut. At one point, the cut was a flat fee.

Now that Tyson Fury holds the WBC title, 50-50 is immediately agreed on. In fact, Fury will get 60-percent in the rematch if he wins the first fight.

Having the Joshua-Wilder fight in the USA was deemed outrageous. Joshua is the draw who sells out soccer stadiums. It had to be in the UK.

When it’s Joshua-Fury, two fighters from the UK, the fight is happening in the USA.

To get the Joshua fight, Wilder had to sign a multi-fight contract with DAZN. When he refused, everyone said this was him ducking the fight.

Now that Fury has the WBC title, a unification fight can happen without all the parties being signed to DAZN.

Yup, pretty much the biggest duck I’ve ever seen. Luckily, Joshua gets to cash out in a super fight anyway.

Lol bla bla bla. 1st good fighter Wilder faced he got destroyed. No wonder master Al and Shirley wanted to keep him away from Joshua.

Joshua offers to Wilder = 7
Wilder offers to Joshua = 0

Why would AJ duck someone that he considers to be a "disgrace to the superior black race"? It just doesn't make any sense, you can't view someone as being inferior to you but at the same time also be ducking them.

Wilder told them what he wanted once and Eddie Hearn made seven offers that fell well short. Now that the opponent isn’t Deontay Wilder, Hearn will agree to anything.

        That’s a duck!

It’s possible Eddie Hearn didn’t want that fight. But it’s also likely that Wilder asked for an amount that was not reasonable from hearns perspective. Ultimate only AJ and wilder knows the truth.

It’s for this reason that I would be up for open public negotiations, not an interactive live one, but one where there are documents and records indicating the public position of all sides. This who ducked who kind of ends at that point or is at least minimized.

As an aside, I think AJ takes this one by a late KO.

The real boxing fans know this for facts and it is well documented with statements, videos, and etc.!

Anthony Joshua’s promoter and his own father have both came out and said out of their own mouths that they rather steer AJ into cherry picks rather than the risk of fighting Deontay Wilder!

They said they could make the same fighting multiple cherry picks vs fighting Wilder just once!

Anthony Joshua in an interview with former champ Johnny Nelson stated out of his own mouth that he won’t be rushed to fight Wilder and that his own trainer Rob McCracken told him that he’s not ready for Wilder an probably won’t be till 2021 and this was in 2017!

When the fight was being demanded Anthony Joshua threatened to freeze Wilder out and fight everyone but him despite fans calling for the fight when both were undefeated champions!

When Wilder was to come over to the UK to be a special guest commentator for Joshua vs Parker and to also get into the ring post fight to do a face off with Joshua to help promote their fight until Joshua scoffed at the idea and told Sky sports that he refused a face off simply cause the contracts weren’t signed and that he doesn’t hype fights yet years later he was hyping his fight with Jarrell Miller!

Team Joshua is also the first team in boxing to offer a flat fee offer over a fight worth nearly 100
Million for undisputed at heavyweight between two KO punchers!

These are all documented facts and anyone who wants to dispute will get responded with videos of both AJ and Hearns double talking and contradicting themselves about the Wilder negotiations!

Gave an unknown Joseph Parker a percentage split but refused to give Wilder a percentage split and only a one way rematch clause where if AJ wins then he doesn’t have to rematch Wilder and that even if Wilder wins AJ still gets the lions share!

One of the biggest ducks in boxing history where AJ could’ve been immortalized!

i agree actually, i mean hearn and jushua offered wilder a flat fee and wouldnt budge for ages when the fight should have been made, thats just nuts and that in itself is just not on, no way wilder should take a low flat fee for that fight, crazy stuff needs to be called out and then joshua going all crazy v lennox when he calls it out, oh wow just weird

The issue I have with your point is this... if Hearn thought Wilder’s demands weren’t reasonable, why did he cave to all those same demands when they came from Tyson Fury?

Fury made Wilder get his stock up, A.J forced team Wilder to pay him for the Breazeale fight because they offered Wilder 20 million to fight him on DAZN . Anyone thinking Wilder fighting Ortiz for 2 million gets him 50% off a Joshua fight is on some good drugs. fury has wins over Klitschko and Wilder himself ,of course it can be 50/50 now with Fury securing some wins on Top Rank its not like he just beat up Stiverne and demanded 50% ? Ha
