He always maintained that AJ was a stiff and "even worse" than Wilder, not that Wilder was somehow great.Fury playing mind games with everyone. Now he's gone from calling Wilder "a bum" back to calling him "the second best heavyweight out there". Sounds familiar? He did similar bait and switches in the lead up to the second fight. He's obviously trying to sell the third fight in case it happens next. Wilder is still a dangerous opponent, he's still Top 10 but Fury wants people to believe it's another #1 vs #2 fight so it sells as much as possible.Comment

I couldn't say it better.
And Fury is just trying to hype himself up at the same time despite his thin resume. Apart from Wilder, he called bum, which other top 10 fighters has fought since his come back in 2017?
He is claiming to be the best heavy boxer ever? Give me break. Even the vision of Foreman that fought Holyfield would've killed this clown in the ring.Comment

I think youre building a narrative here that isnt quite accurate. No other heavyweight has ever been able to assert pressure from the opening bell against wilder like fury did..from the moment wilder hit the centre of the ring he took a backwards step and that set the tone for the fight. Fury systematically broke him down, used faints and jerks to keep him off balance and eventually put his weight on him tired him out and dominated proceedings. regardless of who u support call it as it is, it wasnt an off night, had he fought Ortiz that night he probably would have been outpointed for the first half of the fight and then knocked him out in the latter rounds like before. Fury's gameplan was perfect and it was a masterclass in executionWilder did have a off night in the second fight but it happens. That version of Wilder would have got beaten in a similar fashion by AJ, Whyte, Ortiz and other quality boxers.
Similar to AJ vs Ruiz 1, that version of AJ would have been beaten by a few quality boxers. Off night.
Or Fury vs Wallin, vs McDermott 1, vs Cunningham. Fury would have been beaten by a few higher quality boxers on those nights. Off nights.
Having said that, if the best version of Wilder shows up against anyone, including Fury, he still has a shot to knock them out because of his power and patience.Comment

It’s hilarious that you are the only one that swallows this as something other than mind games.
If Fury was clubbing baby seals to death and he said the baby seals were better than AJ, you’d agree with him.
Pathetic.Last edited by OnlytheTruth; 06-13-2020, 03:51 AM.Comment

That no other boxers were able to apply pressure on Wilder has everything to do with caliber of compettition he had faced before. The best Wilder had fought prior Fury was an old Ortiz. If he had faced a prime Ortiz he would have been knocked out in both fights. Hence he had been avoilding AJ knowing that AJ is a pressure fighter.I think youre building a narrative here that isnt quite accurate. Fury is quickly turning into the new Wilder.
‘I’m the champ so I’ll just say as much stuff as possible so that the gullible punters believe at least one thing I say’
I wanted someone to humble Wilder, now someone needs to humble Fury, and his Dad.Comment

Aj didnt look like a pressure fighter against |Ruiz in the second fight, I feel AJ is evolving into a more Klitschko style with patience and efficiency rather than taking risks and getting clipped. Aj for me beats Wilder at this stage in their careers and wilder aint getting any younger. Just feel Fury has too many tools in his arsenal for joshua right now, joshua is a few years off his peak and not ready for a prime fury as of yetComment

Whether or not Wilder will knock AJ out remains to be seen. Does Wilder fights strong and confident or a confused person unsure of himself? How does AJ deals with the next boxer he has to go toe to toe with? Personally, I think both Wilder and AJ have the capacity to knock each other out. I am not sure AJ can pull a masterclass like Fury. His style against Ruiz of hit and run will probably not be right for Wilder who is slightly taller and has faster feet.
Having said that, Fury is just trolling and trying to sell the 3rd fight.Comment

lol stay mad.
Wilder woukd knock Joshua spark out and leave him in a twitching heap on the floor.
Remember it was only 12 months ago that AJ got dominated and stopped by a morbidly obese man, it wouldn't be shocking to see Wilder do the same.Comment
