Comments Thread For: Fury: Wilder is Second Best Heavyweight, He'd Knock Joshua Out!

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury still views Deontay Wilder as the second best heavyweight in the weight class. Back in February, Fury stopped Wilder in seven rounds to capture the WBC world title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. There is a contract trilogy fight, which is being targeted to take place before the year is over.

Despite the shyt talk that Fury and Wilder exchange here and there... I think it's cool that they have mutual respect for each other ha ha

Fury has no respect for Wilder.

He used him all along and is using him now. He knows everything about boxing, he knows it's history deeply, and he knows full well Wilder is crap aside from a dangerous right hand.

He says this stuff because Wilder is ****** enough to believe it. And if Wilder believes it he remains complacent, stays in love with his own power, and does nothing different in the third fight.

Why do you think he says Wilder nearly knocked him out in the 2nd round? The one clean punch Wilder landed all night and Fury didn't even buckle. It's to build up Deyonce's confidence and make him believe he just had an off night.

This from the guy that said Wilder is a bum and if he couldn't beat him, he would retire because it would be a disgrace to lose to such a bum.

Wilder should take all this as motivation. Fury viciously ripped the title from his hands, called his costume satanic, rubbished his portrayal on black history month, licked his blood, called him a bum, and now says he's second place to him. I don't know about you, but if it were me, I'd be sleeping in the gym and sparring bulldozers and elephants preparing to decapitate that man...figuratively of course.

Fury playing mind games with everyone. Now he's gone from calling Wilder "a bum" back to calling him "the second best heavyweight out there". Sounds familiar? He did similar bait and switches in the lead up to the second fight. He's obviously trying to sell the third fight in case it happens next. Wilder is still a dangerous opponent, he's still Top 10 but Fury wants people to believe it's another #1 vs #2 fight so it sells as much as possible.

Fury thinks Wilder would knock AJ out, there's no conspiracy theory here, I think Wilder would knock him out as well.

                  AJ is overrated.

Right. Typical boxing talk. The guy I beat is better than the guy I never fought. Then if interest is down talk a bunch of rubbish about the same guy hoping he will do the same and it will hype up the fight. Its so refreshing to hear a boxer be honest. I love it when they admit to being hurt in a fight, instead of the old “he never hurt me”. But trash talk and excuses always seem to work in boxing.
