Not to mention in the 11th if not for the BS stoppage and point deduction Fury likely stops Wlad. I had completely forgot he had him hurt until the ref came in for the rescue

Usyk should go in the direction of Joseph Parker before asking for a shot at the title. He needs to fight at least two credible opponents first before he can be taken seriously.

If you were mandatory, would you go fight 2 guys just for the **** of it?

Exactly. Plus, I think Usyk handles Joshua easier than he handed Joyce. Joshua might not be as slow as Joyce, but he's more robotic.

Usyk and Whyte are both going to want their shot before we get fury vs aj.

Exactly. AJ is predictable because he doesn't have a large repertoire offensively. A guy like Fury who is looking to figure you out early and set the tone of things and control the center of the ring, he will start countering you and forcing you where he wants you with the jab.

Usyk is yet to prove himself at HW. I find him struggling against top 3 due to height, strength. Not everyone is a Holyfield. If Usyk gains weight, will he be the same?

Having said that, that would be even more motivation for Usyk to go for the title fight. Get a payday before you lose.

Do you have issues with this WBO rule in any other weight class? Or just now at heavyweight?

The pulev fight is garbage too, he might end up shedding one or two belts to make this fight that has to happen. Prestige and money will win in the end.

Because boxing isn’t a sport it’s a business, if it was a sport you would have an actual top 10 that have to beat each other to move up and earn a shot....

Not 100% sure this particular scribe understands the meaning of the phrase 'in lieu of'... sounds like he means 'in light of'.

I'm good either way, on the one hand I'd like Usyk to fight some halfway decent heavyweight before getting his shot to demonstrate he belongs in there, OTOH both Fury and Joshua are relatively young for HW at 30 and 31 whereas Usyk is already creeping up in age at 33, especially for a bigger dude who relies more on speed and reflexes, so Usyks best chance might well be sooner rather than later.

Dice will fall as they will I guess, though I'm guessing Usyk will have to wait his turn.
