His best win is Uzca, I mean don't get me wrong he looks the goods but has never fought a top guy, I rate Jacobs as a better fighter than him just based on performances at the highest level.

IMHO he is the weakest of the 168 champions, he has great athleticism, very good speed, flashy, but I don't know if he has a chin, how he reacts under pressure, does his body can take body shots, I don't see concussive power on his hands, there are a lot of ???'s with Plant.

Sounds like Plant is psyching himself out with the back and forth conversation in his head. Maybe he'll continue to show improvements but I don't really get the hype around him considering his only notable opponent is Uzcategui whose limited come forward style should be tailor made for a guy advertised as slick and elusive. Although Plant had good stretches in that fight, it was overall an inconsistent performance especially in the second half when he was looking gassed and off balance while getting caught flush with too many winging shots. Dude makes Canelo's stamina look like that of a Kenyan runner.

Thank you! While I do think Plant is the goods. People often swipe under the rug the fact that he was kind of gassing out late vs Uzi. I still want to see how his gaz tank holds up against the elite.
At the moment, while I think he beats Benavidez, the championships rounds could be the difference.

I just have that sinking feeling that the first fights we see immediately after the "pandemic" are not going to be great fights. Canelo/Dirrell fits the bill.

Strange that Plant feels he has so much leverage here. In my view, he's quite the little prima donna. There was a time when world champions (not alphabet champions) fought every other month.

Plant is not right for Canelo

1st let’s get this straight they need everything in their favor when fighting a Plant. He can box, move, combinations are good and he’s bigger and stronger than a Floyda but they both have a tendency to gas. Canelo needs to pass on this one. Canelo does have some things also we don’t know if Plant can handle, physical strength, ring IQ, ability to take a shot and make you miss!
