    Oleksandr Gvozdyk Announces Retirement

Good for him. Reached the top by beating Stevenson and then got a nice pay day against Beterbiev before calling it quits.

WTF? He just said he wanted a Beterbiev rematch?

Hard not to think that putting Stevenson in a coma took some wind out of his sails.

And if there was ever any wind left, Beterbiev's blows closed the regatta once and for all.

That Beterbiev knockout loss really messed him up.

He was a very good fighter, very skilled and managed to become world champion.

Good for him. Reached the highest point of the sport. Put a guy in a coma then got beat down, just not worth it to him.

Dang, I hate to see the Nail go. He's a credit to the sport. Best wishes in his next phase of life. Good luck, champ!

Ah man... I feel he had a lot left to offer.

He had a pretty long career if you combine amateur and pro, so maybe he just felt burnt out.

                    Enjoy retirement champ...
