did Tyson Fury improve THAT much?

    Begin with Tyson's defence/chin/legs.

The idea is that Tyson Fury put on weight, came in at 274lbs and because of this additional weight, Wilder couldnt put him down.

I find this one hard to believe. In the first fight, Wilder put him down twice, in the 12th in almost devastating fashion. Did 14lbs+ magically give TF a chin to the point where Wilder landed HEAVY blows and TF wasnt even bothered? That isnt possible. Even if TF had stronger legs, the contrast between the 2 fights was too much.

what is far more likely is that Wilder's legs WERE weak (forget the costume trolling) for whatever reasons. Maybe even he doesnt know what it really was? Maybe it was just one of those nights?

Keep in mind that there are some chavs who think Tyson Fury put on 14lbs of muscle and that was the big difference maker. That is not possible so soon. more likely a bit of muscle, more water/glycogen and fat..and that doesnt make a huge difference in defence.

The other is that TF changed his style and 'put it on Wilder' but again that doesnt explain how TF magically developed a chin. In fact this change in TF's style, made it easier for Wilder to land clean...and he did, so it goes back to Tyson magically developing a chin...

it's more than likely Wilder had an offnight and didn't have the power he would normally have. in that case, IF he shows up in the rematch back to his usual self, he could well knock Tyson out cold.

Short answer is no, you just refused to listen or didn't know what you were looking at when you've seen him before.

Fury has improved his punching form with Sugar hill, but hes the same fighter hes always been - a high IQ slick boxer who can fight from any stance, dynamite in both hands, granite chin, heart of a lion, floats like a butterfly, stings like a nuclear warhead. Boxing's Achilles. Sweet Pea in Goliaths body. Boxing's Goku.

Elite fighters who have a deep toolbag don't need to use every tool in the bag every fight. That's what so many people don't understand. Tailor your gameplan to your opponent and be economical and you don't need to show more. Just like in football, if you don't need to change the play (because the defense can't stop you) then don't, and force them to adjust. Fury didn't need to do anything but a 1-2 to beat Wlad, and that is a sign of high IQ and talent, not one dimensional limitations. I've tried to educate people on this for years on here, it's not that complex to understand.

Wilder is just a bum and it’s easy to figure out an unskilled bum.

When did Wilder land heavy blows on Fury in the second fight? I remember a right hand in the first of second round, and some body jabs. That was really it.

Fury is basically just like Whyte and regardless of how people say they have improved a great deal as boxers - I don't really see it. Granted they're better at doing certain things but the old habits are still there.

Fury has just been lucky to avoid bad styles that would give him problems and keep him out of his comfort zone. And I actually think the pre-hiatus Fury is a better boxer than the current Fury and he'll be in a lot of trouble once he fights someone decent. Wilder is a bum with zero fundamentals and one grossly overrated trick. So you can't really judge Fury based on that tbh.

A lot of people are going to be shocked in the next few months.

No, it was more of a surprise tactic, he literally said what he was going to do and no one believed him... He walked into Wilders wheelhouse and pushed him back

I think people forget he was the guy that ended Wladimir’s reign. Boring fight but did what he needed because people of a top level do that.

Whatever people think of him he is an excellent talent, Probably in the best of this era by some distance, whether that is saying a lot or not is another conversation.

He will most likely beat AJ fairly comfortably, because he’s a level above everyone around now. People will have to accept it is his era, if they haven’t already.

His only real flaw is that he can be inconsistent against fight era that he doesn’t rate and just does enough, but when he’s switched on, nobody today will beat him.

In truth, Wilder fought a 50% version of Fury the first time, then got destroyed v the real version, Just like Joshua will.

                    watch it again man.
he landed 3-4 of those big ones to Fury's chin, flush..and Fury honestly wasnt even bothered.

that's my point, Tyson was easier to hit in that fight because of his kronk style.

                    the narrative goes like this
-Fury was heavier, therefore harder to put down.
-Wilder was also heavier, in fact moreso than Tyson, wilder put on more weight, but didnt have the legs to carry the weight and therefore sit on his punches.
