Should I have a sense of humor regarding a racist like merchant? Not everybody tolerates it or finds it cute.
It seems to me that Floyd put him in his place that time, was that not enough? He created a great scene for the posterity, Merchant's subsequent remark or no.
Listen, sometimes humor does help even in presence of the dirtiest bastards. I know from experience.
Then again, how do you consider the fact that Mayweather apologized to him later on? A betrayal by Floyd? Just curious to know your view.

Floyd's an extremely nice guy. He's Also consistently taken up for Manny and praised him for years, while Manny has been persistent about disrespecting Floyd and throwing shots- before & after their 2015 clash. Floyd has been extremely kind to every public figure that has disrespected him. Floyd himself said he stopped Larry from fired from HBO. None of that changes Larry being a racist devil. And an extreme annoyance. Yes, there are times where humor is a great way to deal with people. That applies to everyone but racists in a position of influence. And no, it wasn't enough. Years prior B Hop got on Larry's case similarly. Larry should've been fired and publicly reprimanded across American media outlets that cover boxing. That would've been satisfactory.

OK, understood. Thanks for taking the time to clarify your position.
