Why do haters focus on who fighters didn't fight?

If you pay then you have the right to criticize whoever you please. You bought that right. Anyone who swoops in and says you can’t criticize your power drill that keeps malfunctioning or your crappy airline after flying with them is an idiot. Just make sure you’re being reasonable and factual with your criticisms, otherwise you’ll be written off as a fool.Comment

"for our enjoyment"...nah man...theyre getting paid...its an ends to a means......whether it be the part time fighter hoping to make an extra 20k a year on top of his fulltime job...or the blue chipper hoping to make 100 mil by the end of his careerFighting fire with fire is what has got us exactly where we are man, I have no clue which fan or fanbase first thought it was a clever idea to start crapping on the fighters themselves but where we are now no one involved can claim to be in the right... gonna be plenty of dudes like me never said a bad word about a fighter until up rocks someone like yuourself and starts talking smack about a fighter they follow... just like someone else talked smack about a dude you liked. Vicious circle see? A pissy merry go round. Like trying to cure terrorism by bombing motherfckers' families. The more any of us do it do it the more people get dragged in and whilst no-one will ever win we all lose.
But obviously it's completely unfair to single you out, this shit was going strong long before you joined in and I'm sure there'll be daft twats going at it when we're both gone. Guess you just pissed me off calling me racist though, got me on a bit of a rant.
Just have a think about it though, this is a community for all of us obsessives, but it's also a resource and maybe a gateway for new or potential fans who might be interested in the sport. This really what we want 'em to think being a boxing fan is about? There's no need to stop supporting the dudes you like, but there's better ways to support the sport than to talk crap about the dudes who actually lace them up and put their skills and wills to the test for our enjoyment.
i understand what they are putting on the line...but it aint for me...
its a boxing board....try not to take everything too seriously....i support the sport...have been going to fights for years..ive seen golovkin fight and even own a hat of his...because i support the sport....doesnt mean i have to think the guy is great and excuse everything hes ever done or not done....
golovkin fans are constantly out there trying to belittle the careers of floyd and ward....because they obviously feel insecure about something or feel a void somewhere.....yet no matter what golovkin has done or not done its never his fault....Comment

Generaling much man? I like both Floyd and Ward, plenty other Golovkin fans do to, in fact the best boxing fans on here are the ones who respect all fighters in my book, but maybe that's just me. And of course they do it for pay, but that doesn't diminish my respect for what they do or the work they put in.
Anyways, I ain't gonna waste any more of your time, man, all Ima say is that we can only change our own behaviours. Gets under your skin when dudes belittle the fighters you like getting all schoolyard tit-for-tat on 'em ain't gonna stop it or change it. Make it worse if anything. And if you're thinking dudes who try to diminish the guys you respect are insecure or trying to fill a void, just what does it say about you when you do the same thing about other fighters? Or you reckon it's different when you do it? Are you 'defending your heroes' in Floyd and Ward or just countering unwarranted criticism? Occur to you that they probably rationalise it the same way you do?
Ach... you'll see it my way one day, man. All this tit-4-tat Bchit is for fools. Give it a few years. Your outlook tends to change some when you hit your 40s I reckon. 'Blame', 'excuses'... all dumb fanboy semantic bullish, as if elite level boxers need excuses for being amongst the best. There's no goodies and baddies just a bunch of fighting men trying to make a living and some recognition doing the thing they're best at and using every bit of leverage they can. Some have more opportunities, some have less, some get lucky breaks, some don't. Understand that and words like 'excuses' and 'blame' become the most juvenile foolishness.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 06-01-2020, 07:23 PM.Comment

I would have watched all of Packys fights like I did. So he chose to avenge his fight:/loss to morales who was just beaten by rahim? Kinda weak isn’t it?? Super weakNah that was for some vacant WBC international title, which is just a fringe belt.
Why would he choose Morales? To avenge his loss to Morales and because it’s a far bigger fight.
Would you really rather have seen Pacquiao-Raheem over Pacquiao-Morales 2? I along with nearly everybody else certainly didn’t...Comment

Not as weak as your argument man.
Just answer the question...
Would you rather have seen Pacquiao-Morales 2 or Pacquiao Raheem?
I guarantee any sane person would rather see the rematch between two ATG’s as opposed to Pacquiao facing a guy who got destroyed by Ali Funeka.Comment

Exactly man...
The Morales fight made far more sense that’s why it happened. Pacquiao-Morales 2 is a PPV fight. Pacquiao-Raheem is a meaningless fight.
Nobody needed to “duck” a guy like Raheem. Raheem lost his very next fight to Freitas anyway then faded into obscurity. I did think he was unlucky not to get the nod against Freitas though.Comment
