I agree to a certain degree about American writers, but British writers are FAR worse. Do you read the daily junk from the British boxing outlets like Talk Sport, Daily Mail, Daily Express, Daily Star, etc.? They put clickbait and poor writing on a whole other level.

But yeah most of the good brit writers are dead unfortunately... even broadsheet writers like Gareth the Arsehole Davies who wrote some awful stuff slagging off Peter Buckley Or some other solid journeyman as the worst boxer ever are tepid. His cringe screen presence also stops me from reading anything else by that twat. graham Houston is good. Boxing News has some good articles through doesn’t seem to have recovered from the awful Tris Dixon years... he really turned BN into a tabloid rag for teenagers. Christie is better but can be very childish with his analogies. Once spent an article comparing some boxers to Harry Potter books ffs. They’re some good freelance writers though can’t remember their names. Bunce who is detestable on TV has good knowledge but usually his articles are about himself. Unfortunately the far superior boxing monthly has folded - frankly I blame the fact they seemed to include 2 lengthy women boxing articles a month which were probably read by 5 people and a waste of print. The book reviews were always quality and funny - my favourite bit.

The fact that the writer addressed the former P4P Roman Gonzalez and arguably the current P4P in the same sentenced, leads me to suspect that he dont think much of the lighter-weights. The notion that a tough fight with Nonito Donaire invalidates Inoue from greatness is ridiculous. I remember Floyd Mayweather struggling with Emanuel Augustus and far lesser competition.

Roman Gonzalez getting KO is no reason to eliminate him from this discussion, how many ATG have been KO? This happened in 'Chocolatito' fourth weight coming from 105! And hes still thinking about moving up, after reclaiming the WBA superflyweight title ; overcoming adversity after a career type ending brutal KO is what greats do! Roman Gonzalez and Naoya Inoue deserve to be called GREAT.

I can't help you if you refuse to read what is written. When the author writes they are IN the conversation for greatness and you conclude he has written they are OUT, what can you do?

At this point of Pac's career a win over him doesn't seal greatness but it does improve resume; it's a scalp. Look at it this way, against a prime Pac, be it at 126, 135, 140 or 147, Mikey doesn't come close to a victory.

The worst thing about your post (other than lack of punctuation!) is mentioning DAZN. What do they have to do with anything? Just another garbage spinoff that isn't what it was hyped up to be. Just something else we're forced into buying if we wanna watch our sport we love.
