When a fighter makes a million how much does he take home

I've heard trainers generally take 10%. I've also heard managers take 10%.
So immediately you're at $800k. A smart fighter will find a way to deduct some costs, probably northward of $100k in deductions between healthcare expenses and other business expenses. They'll probably eat taxes on $600k of that $800k.
Depending on the state that can be from $185k-$250k. Let's just say a cool $200k to make the math super easy.
Off of a $1M payday you're probably walking away with somewhere around $600k.
If you're an idiot you're paying taxes on the full $800k-$1M and walking away with < $500k.Comment

I heard that boxers once they reach a certain level are paying for training camps all by themselves. So they have to pay for housing, gym access, food, and sparring partners.Comment
