If he wants to play a bit dirty... just about 5 lbs of pressure right below the knee and you got a broken knee... First things you learn in martial arts classes focused on self defense... all of those points designed to break bodies and how to defend them.

Of course... then it is all silly because the guy with the gun wins anyway. lol.

Well Conor is trained professionally in grappling and wrestling and striking.

          It would be interesting.

If Conor initiates ground game tactics he could grapple him and then put him in submission or ground and pound.

But I’d bet that Conor tries to strike and Canelo lays him out.

If Canelo can get close fast enough and land a combination, he can win. If he can't do that, he's ****ed, most people in aren't ready for a leg kick, specially against a UFC champion, Conor would stay on the outside and **** him at kicking range or just grapple him, people that think otherwise clearly don't know **** about fighting.

I feel like boxers and mma guys tend to underwhelm in street fights, relative to expectations...Shakur, Anthony Smith, BJ Penn, even Shannon Briggs apparently with Bryant McKinnie...I would expect a boxer or UFC guy to walk through anyone in a street fight but who knows.

Would tend to favor the UFC guy...just depends if the boxer can land before he gets taken down really

Yeah leg kicks are a game changer. Conor keeps his distance and just chops at Nelo’s legs and that’d be a wrap.

I hate McGregor, buuuuut Canelo is used to fairly large size gloves and is used to using them to block and counter. As seen in MMA, blocking isnt as important as avoiding the punch with your footwork/head movement and that is one thing McGregor does well is avoid oncoming punches and counter. Conor also has flying knees and spinning kicks in his repertoire that he could use freely with no fear of getting taken down. That's just the stand up aspect though Conor could land a takedown which is dangerous on the street and once it gets there he has a better grappling game than Canelo. Again, I hate Conor, he has become a star out of making an ass of himself and Canelo made is name on hard work and mastering his craft.

And Khabib isn't a puncher at all. Now imagine Canelo landing that punch. One straight right hand from Canelo and McGregor end up like Khan.

He got out muscled by a guy 25lbs smaller.
Have you seen Ray Mercer get stopped in 20 seconds with a headkick and go 0-2 in K1? Franz Botha going 4-12? Jarrell Miler losing twice in kickboxing to a washed up middle aged Cro Cop who had already been brutally KO'd multiple times in MMA? Shannon Briggs admitting he was one more leg kick away from hitting the canvas and losing a kickboxing match to a wrestler? James Toney being toyed with by Randy Couture? Lucas Browne being destroyed by Cormier? a middle aged Fabio Maldonado going the distance with Rivas and Takam recently after having been KO'd multiple times in MMA (including a few months before the Rivas fight)? Paulie losing a bareknuckle boxing match to a guy with a 13-15 record in MMA? not saying I put much stock in womens boxing (or MMA) but Holly Holm and Heather Hardy have both been KO'd standing in MMA too.

There are occasional exceptions, Mercer/Sylvia in MMA for example, or Botha/Le Banner in kickboxing. But usually when a pure boxer tries their hand at another combat sport it doesnt go well at all. "Pure" being the keyword, because boxing is extremely effective in MMA etc if its complimented with other skills, like good takedown defence and the ability to check kicks.

Who was the guy 25lbs lighter that outmuscled Conor?

A headkick or flying knee hits harder than any punch Canelo could throw...

Main reason Khabib was able to land that is because Conor was ****ting himself over defending the takedown. He thought Khabib was shooting in. Faking the takedown and then throwing the right hand is a classic MMA wrestler technique. Its a little different to having a guy in front of you that you know is only going to punch. Maybe Canelo would do the opposite? fake the right hand and shoot in for a takedown or throw a head kick?...probably not.
