There is a reason fishhooks and eye gouging are illegal in MMA. It’s because they are devastating and pretty much every fight would end that way. A boxer could use that to cancel out all the fancy BJJ and create some distance.
Boxers don’t have to worry about that crap. Better skill to have in a street fight. Especially when you consider how dumb it is to be rolling around on the ground when you’re surrounded by potential threats. Don’t think Canelo is the street fighting type though. Doesn’t seem like a tough guy to me.

      I agree
Canelo might punch harder and all but has way more tools to win a street fight imo
I don’t thinkConor’s plan would be to stand and trade
Yea, you’d have to doubt that would be the game plan. People saying that McNugget isn’t a good grappler...he’d look like a bjj black belt and Olympic wrestler rolled into one vs someone without any training.

          McGregor by KO

I hate McGregor, buuuuut Canelo is used to fairly large size gloves and is used to using them to block and counter. As seen in MMA, blocking isnt as important as avoiding the punch with your footwork/head movement and that is one thing McGregor does well is avoid oncoming punches and counter. Conor also has flying knees and spinning kicks in his repertoire that he could use freely with no fear of getting taken down. That's just the stand up aspect though Conor could land a takedown which is dangerous on the street and once it gets there he has a better grappling game than Canelo. Again, I hate Conor, he has become a star out of making an ass of himself and Canelo made is name on hard work and mastering his craft.

It depends on Conor's first leg kick and how Canelo takes it.

Might be Canelo walks straight up to him and KOs clean with shot, Canelo hitting somebody in the face with no gloves on, be like a tomato exploding .

Connor will not take a single good shot from Canelo not one.

I think McGregor gets absolutely brutalized, wakes up with no teeth in his mouth. Canelo's not just a great boxer; he's a natural-born fighter.

I didnt say MMA is superior I simply gave my opinion on the question asked.

First off I'm not hung up on Canelo like some of the boxing population. Second I've been in plenty of " street fights " as well as putting on boxing gloves and getting in a ring. Its 2 different things.

It amazes me the people comment on things they've obviously never done. In a street fight anything goes and the guy that has an all around attack at a proffesional level has a better arsenal. It's the difference between taking a knife to a gun fight.

Straight up hand on hand fist fight Canelo wins but an anything goes street fight with a guy that has a lifetime of using his hands, feet, elbows, head, and loads of grappling experience. That's the guy that has the edge IMO

I could sit and explain what I would do with somebody expecting to stand and box during a street fight but you probably wouldn't understand until you found yourself getting up off the ground bleeding wondering what just happened.

And for the record I despise MMA I am a true boxing fan I have just been in enough street fights to know the difference

Probably Conor. The guy is a BJJ brown belt, a decent boxer and a good kicker. Hes got multiple weapons that Canelo has basically no defence for. Canelo has a punchers chance though, and street fights are volatile, unpredictable things.

The guy with the better BJJ/wrestling can fishook and eye gouge too, and they're gonna be in a better position to do it than the guy whos on his back like a fish out of water. Wrestlers and BJJ guys used to be even more devastating in MMA when they could legally sit in someones guard and headbutt the **** out of them, or take side control or north/south and just knee somebody in the head repeatedly.
