Ranks have nothing to do with lineal, that's a function of the bodies and the idea it has **** all to do with lineal is some made up bull**** whose history goes as far back as Wlad.

Undisputed has nothing to do with lineal, that's a function of the bodies.

If we had ****ing ranking and undisputed during GD Sully's era why the **** would we have created bodies ya ****** ****ing mooks?

holding all 4 of the horribly flawed ABC straps is better

because of lineage, 'The Ring' ranked Canelo the #1 middleweight on the planet... despite the fact that he had never faced a middleweight opponent... despite the fact that he had never weighed more than 155... and despite the fact that most of the ABC organisations, in some way shape or form, insisted that Golovkin was the top guy at 160

at the same time, 'The Ring' ranked Adonis Stevenson the #1 light heavyweight on the planet... despite the fact that Sergei Kovalev was regarded by most observers as the top guy at 175
Makes total sense now when it’s all said and done Canelos has been lineal from the time he beat Cotto till Today hes beaten three recognized champs @ middleweight and counting

If the current lineal champ retires or is out a new lineage is only established by the #1 and #2 guys fighting to determine a new lineal champ.
Since that didn’t happen Fury still his his lineal claim.
As far as undisputed, that always means a guy that holds all 4 major alphabet titles. Lineal champ doesn’t enter that equation. Had Wilder not turned down $100 million and AJ beat him he would have been undisputed champ. If he beats Fury he is undisputed champ, the lineal title would just be the cherry on top.

AJ needs the WBC belt, not necessarily Lineal. It just so happens that Lineal and WBC are both with Fury.

yep, he gave the lineal title award credibility

the lineage at middleweight had NO credibility until Canelo created it

many do not stick around to fight the 2x best in the division, which is why ranking by lineage is such a poor triangle theory... it worked out ok in this example, and it could work out ok with Fury... but as we saw with Stevenson and many others, flawed logic
