Na he doesnt beat him 10 out of 10 you must not have watched the fight because he was out boxing him in the beginning.

Unless he can somehow hurt Beterbiev or outlast his pressure, I see it going the same way. Regardless, much respect to him for not just taking Beterbiev on, but wanting to run it back with him. Gotta be a bit crazy to want to deal that kind of power again.
They are both quality boxers who represented their respective countries in the Olympics. Gvodzyk is better from distance Beterbiev inside but both have their qualities and Gvodzyk actually stunned Beterbiev a few times he is not a weak puncher either just Artur is more durable and naturally bigger.

Agree with everything here. Beterbiev has always been a CW at LHW IMO. Gvodzyk did stun him a few times but just not enough to deter him from coming forward and eventually getting caved in. Beterbiev is a solid boxer, but seeing him get dropped by guys like Page and Johnson(even if he was careless & over-aggressive)has always left a question about the holes in his boxing ability to a certain extent. He's mainly gotten through by physically manhandling everybody he has faced bc of his power & size. Dude is just made of iron.

Yeah he's definitely there to be hit sometimes but I think those were just cases of his getting over confident same with Gvodzyk when Karpency dropped him.

Idgaf about some bs big bro lil bro nonsense!

I think Gvozyk before he started to gas was winning the fight!

Beterbiev didn’t fight that dirty against Callum Johnson so I call bs, it was more so Beterbiev knew who he was up against!

He knew he had to make it ugly or Gvozyk would just simply outbox him, it was a clever tactic since Gvozyk never was win a physical fight!

Now that he knows what he’s up against, I believe he’ll look box even more cautiously and get a better referee!

You’re probably right, I still see beterbiev winning every single time unless he gets old from one fight to the next

Gvozdyk can certainly win with some adjustments, the fight went as I would expect in regards to the gameplan of both fighters...it was just a matter of how strong Beterbiev was and how much punishment he could take, and he took a lot. Gvozdyk hit him with everything he had and gassed out while Beterbiev just upped the pressure. Gvozdyk moves around a lot which may look flashy and it does have some practicality to it as far as mobility and moving out of the way of your opponent but too much movement is wasted movement and wasted movement is wasted energy.

The dilemma; does he fight fire with fire against a beast of a man and risk getting brutalised or does he take his chances doing what he did last time and what he does best...with the hope of a better result?

One thing is for sure - they are both much more of a force at LHW than Kovalev is at this stage.

EDIT: Just to mention, I thought Gvozdyk would win and he was landing big shots and was winning quite clearly but Beterbiev took more punishment than I thought he would. I knew Gvozdyk was the better boxer and hits hard as a truck and I thought that would be enough. Fan of both guys, was a great fight.

LHWs have such a good combination of power/speed/technicality

I respect your opinion and I honestly understand it!

Beterbiev is just a monster but I thought Gvozdyk would be his kryptonite!
