I really don't get the gameplan of Gvozdyk and Atlas. Atlas insisted on just running away from Beterbiev, and Gvozdyk tried to go forward and had success, rocked Beterbiev several times in that fight and was getting better in the exchange but Atlas shifted him away from that to just going to the distance instead of fighting back, which made Beterbiev just drown him to the pressure because he does not fire back.

Went to see his fight against Beterbiev. I was impressed with the Nail, felt like he was winning rounds with his boxing skills as Beterbiev's physicality was winning the war. Ultimately he succumbed to the bruising pressure of his opponent. Gvozdyk's body gave out on him that night but there wasn't any quit in him. Look forward to seeing him in the ring again...

Seems to me that Beterbiev is in his Gvozdyk's head, having beaten him in the amateurs. His best chance is to wait for Beterbiev to slow down and get old. If Gvozdyk makes adjustments, so will Beterbiev as Marc Ramsay his coach is no fool.

Cashing out so soon? Come on man, you're a good fighter, no need to get ruined for one check instead of milking another 5-6. No hate, the dude just can't match up to Beterbiev....he loses 10 out of 10.

The difference in the rematch is that Beterbiev would go to the body from the first round, so it would be a shorter night for Gvozdyk.

"The plan was to keep Beterbiev at the distance, but that did not work out. The preparation was aimed at not letting him hit me. Probably, I was not ready for the pressure that he started putting on me, and when you are pressured something must be done: you either run or you go forward,”
Dude... You run, you lose... You go forward, you die... No alternatives here bud... Unless you find a way to levitate... Artur is too strong for you...and the others at LHW... Too bad Artur lacks charisma... He would already be 20-0 and Top 5 P4P... Oh well...

That wouldn’t be a good idea. Once the pressure starts getting to him again it will be the same result. Beterbiev is the tougher, stronger fighter, and he can overcome whatever Gvodzyk has to offer.

Atlas said that he gassed out too early because Beterbiev was in his head, giving him that nervous energy and throwing too much too often.

I don't think he got beat by the pressure, I agree with Atlas. He got beat by not following the game plan and going for broke too quickly. He had the fight in the bag if his stamina was better. The body shots only landed because he was too tired to move his feet, which made him even slower and even easier to hit to the body. Once you're in that cycle it's over.

He wasn’t prepared for the physicality of Beterbiev, should’ve had one of those refs that don’t like all that dirty stuff Beterbiev got away with! Ex. Wrestling, holding and hitting, etc.

Him and Bivol should fight and winner gets a crack at Beterbiev!
Bs bro, the man knew who he was fighting... this wasn’t his first time facing beterbiev... I just think beterbiev has his number... they can fight 100 times and beterbiev will win 100 times... it’s that big bro lil bro phenomenon
