Surprised to see so many Holyfield haters. You guys should get your hands on his entire career and check it out. The man is one of the sports ultimate warriors and the skill is off the charts. I know for a fact you guys haven’t seen more than a few of his fights because if you had, you’d have more respect for him.

Pretty sure, yeah. The skill wasn’t in question. The only thing I figure be questioned was his strength going up against heavyweights. You ever watch any of his fights, bro? Because I’m positive casuals use lines like “VADA doe” as an escape hatch and excuse to not check older stuff out.

I mean, does anyone think this is controversial? He was fighting like 10-15 years ago, in the same era as Wlad. He was old as **** and still fighting well against champions. Prime Holyfield is a championship level fighter in any era of boxing.

Holyfield was a great in both divisions Cruiser and Heavy. A lot may not like this analogy but Timothy Bradley reminds me of a welterweight Holyfield. If you want to watch a fun fight, watch Holyfield Vs. Bert Cooper.

                  google Mr Olympia Lee Haney

if he had faith in his skills alone he wouldn't be associating with mr haney and co.

I love Evander, in truth he is a warrior!
As far as everyone else is concerned he was a small heavyweight with reasonable skills & not great speed or power. As far as Evander is concerned he was THE dominant man & Rid**** & Lennox just had a couple of good nights & never mind that they were 3 inches taller & 40lbs heavier than him.

If Evander had been in The Hobbit he'd be saying, 'well people are talking about Smaug like he's up there cos, sure, he can fly & breathe fire, but is that so much? He never experienced anything like my speed & combination punching'.

                    Ultimate Warrior!

So after all of his yrs of refusing to retire despite everyone begging him to hang it up, the realization finally came when a fat Andy ruiz gave him a tough sparring session.
