What a shameful fight that was so yes ortiz was the boogeyman the most avoided fighter at that time i remember him begging hearn to fight joshua he actually flew all the way to the uk and fought on his undercard.
Ortiz then swerved his mandatory shot at AJ to fight Wilder and was replaced by Povetkin.

its hard to find an objective individual on this forum, what you forgetting to mention here is ortiz was actually signed to matchroom he realised he wasn't going to get joshua until he was 60 then haymon stepped in and offered him wilder if he jumps ship in which hearn could of easily opposed.
swerved aj oh please ortiz was practically on his knees begging shamelessly to fight joshua, you can find countless videos calling him a coward.Last edited by IHATEBOBARUM1; 05-15-2020, 11:12 AM.

Ortiz were offered around $7m if I remember rightly, which was significantly higher than his highest ever payday (and still is at the time of writing)

I think the last time I saw a big bad HW get his ass kicked like that was when Holyfield did it to Tyson in the 1st fight. Holyfield was an underdog heading into that fight and a lot of people thought Tyson would take him out. But Holyfield beat him like he stole something from him or screwed his woman. It was total domination. But I never saw a HW dominate another feared HW like Fury did to Wilder. I still remember how shocked I was watching it. He dropped him with a body shot, unbelievable!

In regards to your article its common sense he was advised by al to reject it and he'll get the wilder rematch while giving ruiz also one of his fighters the joshua fight (may i add i won big money on the fight 28/1 odds) so i wouldn't call it ortiz ducking but rather good business by Al.

Wilder was only in boxing for the money. The guy doesn’t have the culture or inner integrity to fight at Heavyweight, just the skin color and pro black propaganda culture to encourage a bunch of desperate bums to root him on as the Great Black Heavyweight Hope just like Larry Merchant told you all. Stop crying about excuses, you are done in the big man’s divisions forever. Don’t have the dedication or mentality.

I came up in the uk, but man I have to admit I prefer American boxing fans to British boxing fans. It seems like the uk is just full of these flag waving, singing, on the piss up fans rather than real boxing fans. Ask one of these Eddie Hearn beta males to talk boxing history and instant lt hear the 🦗 🦗
