  • Comments Thread For: Fury: When I Took Wilder's Best Shots, I Knew He Couldn't Beat Me

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury says he was fully confident of taking down Deontay Wilder after dealing with his feared power for twelve rounds in their December 2018 encounter. The contest, which saw Fury go down twice and nearly stopped in the twelfth, ended in a controversial twelve round split draw.

Wasn't it when you realized that Kenny Bayless would let you rabbit-punch and foul as much as it took to soften Deontay up?

Wilder can't Box. So if you can take them or dodge them or force Wilder out of his range you will beat him cuz everybody outboxes him.

That's why he has been protected so hard. That's why he wouldnt face a Wlad or a Joshua or Whyte or Parker or the majority of the top 10 over the last number of years.

He only fought Fury the 1st time cuz he thought Fury was a wreck of a human and he only took the rematch cuz he felt Fury was a feather fist which meant Wilder felt safe in the knowledge he was guaranteed 12 pain free rounds to be perfect for 2 seconds.

LOL, how many excuses are you Wilderettes going to come up with? Everybody knows Bayless was in there to protect Wilder, Bayless was crap that fight but he was biased for Deontay.

You forgot to mention Jack Reiss and crying about a so called long count. When Fury got up Wilder was beat mentally and the second fight proved that. What else Elie we are eager to hear how Wilder LOST to Fury.

And yet Deontay was willing to fight Fury immediately after the world came to the knowledge that Tyson was not washed or 'unfit'. Before Wilder-Fury II. the 'Bronze-Bomber' took a very dangerous and unnecessary risk vs. Luis Ortiz for the second time, despite finding himself on the verge of being stopped in the first encounter.

In truth, Jack Reiss and Tony Weeks out-did Kenny Bayless.

Hahahahaha yeah immediate, didn't want Fury to get match fit. And Ortiz lol, Ortiz who refused to figgt Joshua, Ortiz who couldn't even pass his pre fight medical, Ortiz who has done what with his career? Best who in his career.

I dont understand how fighting Oritz is proof of anything other than he fought Ortiz. You wanted to give Joshua no credit for beating world champions but give Wilder all the credit for beating somebody who never achieved anything his whole career.

Peter, you know the score. I just got done watching Micky Theo's latest interview on Youtube and judging by the comments, the public thinks Big-John has raisin-sacks for balls.

How many tune-ups did Tyson need? The Gypsy-Bum fought Sefer Seferi, Francisco Pianeta before facing Deontay Wilder.

You claimed Deontay was protected, experts in the boxing industry considered Luis Ortiz the Bogey-man of the division for many years before the 'Bronze-Bomber' took him out in 2018. 'King-Kong' was top five and had failed a PED test prior to facing Deontay. I think these factors constitute a legitimate threat, which you claim that Wilder had never faced.

ok.. As a alpha male.. I feel the need to address this crap because I don't understand what all the hate is still about.. We are going to get another great fight.. Why isn't that enough? Now.. yes.. Fury looked strong in the second fight.. yes.. Wilder looked weak. Yes.. Furys gloves did look weird.. An there was complications with his A Sample.. Yes, but his B sample was clean. Yes.. Wilder has came up with excuses about his legs.. 40 lbs Armor.. But never has he mentioned Furys gloves or A sample.. So, the fans should let that shyt go! The first fight fury had excuses about being off for 3 years.. Mental illness.. Ok.. And ricky hatton was caught on camera pulling furys gloves.. Yes.. This is true.. But Wilder isn't complaining about it.. Its overwith.. What's done is done.. This is the trilogy to settle the score.. None of that crap matters anymore. None of it! Everyones silly arguments will be resolved in the trilogy! Soo all this back and forth crap means nothing anymore.. May the best man win.. And may the best fans enjoy it! Because I definitely will!!

He took a couple of Wilder bombs and got knocked down. However, There's only so much bombs in one match you could take so you have to be cautious. Tyson's confident and rightly so. He's also a clever guy and I'm sure he continues to do his homework of all possibilities within the ring. If wilder was a clever enough boxer to not allow Tyson to drain him by simply putting his huge frame on him at every opportunity then he stands a better chance. But like I say Tyson is clever.

Wilder is more than capable of winning this fight on either points or K.O but he has to change something and drastically because he can't just rely on his one trick pony (even though it could be the one to k.o him). Can he gather more skills in time? That remains to be seen but while he's still in denial about the last fight Im doubting it.

I predict another Tyson victory but I wouldn't be surprised to see him get sparko either...
