Charlie Zelenoff looks sort of sharp when he’s hitting that punching dummy in his moms basement.

Charles Shufford, 20-8 with 9 KO’s, played Foreman in the Ali movie and looked pretty convincing as a terrifying puncher hitting the bag.

These training videos mean nothing. Go off his last few fights. He was younger and fresher then and looked done. Your body doesn’t get stronger as time passes unless you’re drinking the blood of the young. Oh shit, he actually is eating children

Yes, Mike was a warrior decades ago and he's not Formam. Formam is huge while Mike is small guy for a heavy weight . That makes a big deferenc at hw.

Well, Holyfield, Lennox and all the others maybe should come back because all they need is to “truly believe”.
Foreman was 45 when he beat Michael Moore, a small HW who couldn’t hurt him.

Faith based beliefs! I’ll be damned! Maybe Michael Jordan should come back too if he “truly believes”!

Foreman was 38 years old when he started his comeback run after being out for 10 years. After coming back, he had 28 fights before winning his second world title at the age of 45.

So Big George was 15 years younger than Tyson is now when he started his comeback. He was also a different kind of fighter entirely than Iron Mike. George was never particularly fast or explosive even in his prime. He was a big strong guy with a thudding, accurate jab who knew how to cut the ring and get his full body weight behind his punches.

The qualities that made Foreman great are the last things a fighter loses as he ages. The qualities that made Tyson great - speed, timing, and explosiveness, - are the first to go.

It's not just the age, but the fact that Mike looked awful in 2005 and 2004, getting knocked out by low level competition both times.

Mike hasn't beaten a halfway decent opponent since 1999, when he beat Frans Botha. That's over 20 years. It's time to let it go.
This is the reality of Tyson's deterioration; he isn't going to be better 15-20 years later! Whether he "believes" he can make some sort of comeback should be irrelevant but, where there's money to be made, probably won't be.

Isn't this just a charity fight? That's all I've heard about. All the rest is boxing fans & the media going 4 steps ahead of this charity fight.

I know right! As far as I know he's only discussed doing a couple 4 round exhibition matches for charity. Am I missing something here?. Nowhere did I see that he wanted a full return. I think everyone is just getting a bit carried away here.

That's what I thought. It seems like he is just promoting his exhibition.

Foreman was 7 inches taller than Tyson and did not rely on fast movement to knock his opponents out. He had naturally thudding power and hardly needed leverage. His style was not cardio intensive either.

Oh, Foreman also had a size advantage over his opponents too; significantly so in many cases.

Foreman had so much going in his favour in his comeback. He retried fresh at age 28 and came back fresh at 38 (he never abused his body like Tyson has done).

Please don’t do it Mike unless it’s in the Octagon.
