    Just ask Joshua.
He couldn't knock out the ghost of Siarhei Liakhovich after he had already been knocked out by Maurice Harris, Shannon Briggs, Robert Helenius, Bryant Jennings, and Deontay Wilder.

    Wilder did this to him:

How do we gauge? I mean Joshua is chinny so we cannot go him. Parker is meant to have a good chin but he kinda legged it when he tasted Ruiz’s power. Going by the eye test you can say he has good power, especially when you look at the speed that he possesses. The only issue is, he needs to do it to the bigger names like he did to Joshua. Let’s see if he can stop the bigger names, or the ones with a good chin.

Punching power is tricky, genetic factors and technique plays a huge role but is really hard to account for.

Ruiz doesn’t hit nearly as hard as Wilder. That doesn’t make Wilder a better fighter. Just means that Wilder’s power is truly extraordinary. Very few people in the history of boxing can knock unconscious (briefly) a man 50 pounds heavier in the 12th round.

Ruiz does hit hard. Just because you say he has the fastest hands in the division doesn't make it true. other heavyweights have hands as fast or faster. He carries much of his weight in his big ass and gut and that doesn't do much for punching power. Wilder and AJ also have fast hands and put lots of bodyweight into their punches. they have a thin waist and giant shoulders putting their weight up top where it adds the most to their punching power.

I mean he does hit like a truck already. What more do you expect? Say he was got rid of the excess body fat and had the same % as Joshua, I'm sure he'd be around 220-225. Still, if I'm correct, he doesn't have big legs underneath him. With a short reach and average legs for a guy of his height, that may point to why he doesn't have great stopping power. Short armed smaller heavyweights like Tua and Tyson generated knockout blows because they were great athletes that utilized speed power and form from their feet to their fist. Ruiz uses speed with decent form and is able to sit down on every punch because he is a big fat chollo.

185 pound Dempsey, 200 pound Joe Louis and other good heavyweights often KOed men outweighing them by more than 50 pounds often. Giants don't take a punch better than normal size heavyweights. average punching Cunningham dropped Fury hard for a 7 count with one punch and others have knocked fury down too. Fury has a good chin but not a great chin.

He has to work harder to land one ,he’s only around 6”1 and doesn’t have fast feet ,he looks like a monster on the pads but that target isn’t a tall one . Some other things I think He doesn’t crank his punches all the way or commit to throw faster as some said .
