Mike Tyson cruiser weight run worth while?

Okay bare with me here. I saw Mike’s new highlights. He’s showing excellent form and I believe he is a temperamentally different fighter (in a good way) than he ever was. As far as heavyweight he doesn’t have a chance and he’d probably get seriously hurt. But there is a different sensational path he could take. Cruiserweight.

I guarantee you Mike is walking around at 205-210 right now
I think he could easily make the cruiserweight limit. Taking the perspective of Canelo or Floyd he could take a highly defensive strategy. Sure he doesn’t fit the physical mold of those guys nor has he temperamentally fought like that. However with his excellent form and balance he is showing.. maybe could he compete at cruiserweight and win a title? I mean ffs does anyone really think he isn’t capable of beating someone like Bellew right now? Yes he is on old legs. Yes he probably has 40% of his power from his best years. But you know what? The case I am making is Mike is such an exceptionally trained athlete with such an exceptional level of craft, that I think this truly mentally and physically rejuvenated 50+ year old athlete could come back and make history again at a new division.

Hes not walking around at 205 210.He hasn't weighed that since he was a teenager fighting as an amateur heavyweight. The guy walks around at 250 to 270 out of shape and boils down to 225 at best, even in hes stitch vegan days. He'd the have to weigh in at 200lb, 15 years after he'd already lost hes stamina fighting at around 230.I dont think its strength he lacks, its the cardio. Getting down to a weight you couldn't even make in your teens is abit much to ask.

He was on the smaller side but 205 to 210? I don't think so... but would he even be able to drain himself? And who knows how he would be rehydrading in his 50s.

The main issue is, with Cruisers.... he would have people peddling on the bike in order to get Mike tired... then he would just miss one.

Beyond that, who is there for him to fight to make it worth while?

Tyson vs Kovalev? (assuming he finally moves up) that makes $$$ sense for both sides.

As for Bellew, this is a guy who took a much younger David Haye apart. A guy whos hard hitting, explosive and fit but admitted the minute the fight started he knew he didn't have it anymore. If you'd have seen Haye hit the pads with an MMA trainer you'd have picked him to beat Bellew too. Much less a guy who got stopped by Danny Williams and then Mcbride, sitting it out because he admitted "he didn't have it anymore" 15years ago.

There is no way in hell Mike is under 220 lbs ( he's prolly around 230-235) and would not be able to make cruiser , especially at his age . Not to mention he would have a tougher time at 200 at 53 years old....the guys are faster with better gas tanks . This is not something that can or will happen IF Mike comes back .

IF Mike comes back for any real sanctioned fights he will lose to any top 10 guys at curiser or hwavyweight unless he catches someone early . Mike was a front runner type fighter in his prime after the first 4-6 rounds he wasn't that same invincible looking animal . At 53 he's prolly got 2 good rounds in him

H will probably die in an actual boxing match now against a ranked opponent. Hes talking about exhibitions, not real matches.

"Wow guys, did you see that guy Eubank Jr's training video? Man he beat the sh%t out of those pads man, so fast. I bet he could beat Bruce Lee in a fight, maybe even Sylvester Stallone or Arnie as well."

"Who would win in a fight, Floyd Mayweather Jr or Mike Tyson? What about Floyd vs Muhammad Ali? Who do you think wins?"

He specificaly mentioned charity exhibition matches. These are like light sparring. Chavez Sr does them every now and then in his 50s. Tyson at 53 is talking about something similiar but everyone in the industry is getting excited about the potential revenue and calling out Mike. Holyfield and danny williams have already called him out. Wonder if they realize they would be "fighting" for free.
