Boxing seems to be a catch 22 sometimes

Certain fans will slam you if you are undefeated..but as soon as you lose they slam you and call you a bum....Why cant you just say no matter what the boxer does you simply just dont like them and never will???

First and foremost , I believe it’s totally wrong to call any boxer a bum
But to answer your question , to admit that kind of guilt would deter many of the so-called fans from their agenda , whatever it may be
That would be just to easy imo

You answered yourself with the word fans, fans are people that watch the sport they dont really know much just what they see, next group are people that live the sport and are connected to it in someway, these people dont talk all the BS like fans do.

It’s Floyd’s fault Larry not the fans. He created this undefeated bull sh it and it worked for him. But people don’t realize that he isn’t the goat and most everyone has a had a loss. Now If you lose your career seems to be over for a fawking loss or two. Shouldn’t be that way but it is and it’s sad

Hey I mean it’s like politics. Why not point out the weaknesses of those you perceive as your competitor? Floyd coined it and used it as a bargaining chip at the highest level of boxing entertainment. It’s hard to argue that one guy is the or could be the better when the other can juxtapose his undefeated record against the latters blemished one.

              I agree...

              GGG is a prime example.

Goes 38-0 dominating the 160 lb division.

At 36 years old, finally loses a highly competitive and controversial decision to a modern great and people wanna label him as a hype job, overrated etc.

Idk why mfers always talking towards the dumbest fans. Anyone who thinks like the type of fans 90% of these types of threads are directed at are the mfers who's opinion you shouldn't even care about or take seriously.

This is the long and short of it, most of the name calling around here ain't really to do with boxers themselves but about the ****** rivalreis and agendas between the posters themselves and the various fanbase or nationalistic preferences they got.

Outside of a few absolute loons if you can actually pin most of the posters down to some real boxing discussion they'll give fighters their due, it's just tricky getting past the hairtrigger assumptions of a lot of guys.

And yeah, ****in does my head in the degree of disrespect with which many of the posters on here treat the dudes who are actually going out and getting hit. I get that it ain't really about the fighter, that you need to read between the lines, but we've become so used to it we may not get the impact it has on the thousands of visitors to the site, people curious about or interested in the sport... ain't really the way we gonna bring in new fans I think. Ain't completely sure we paint boxing fans in the best light.

Maybe easier to take the high road when you got a few more miles on your own clock though, getting older tends to give you a different kinda insight on that kinda shet and possibly a little more patience. There's ways of getting folk talking without giving ground, if you can be bothered putting the time in.

Couldn’t have said it better myself
What blows my mind is the hidden agendas , the thread bating and the amount of fake fans
It’s really gotten to the point of no return
This right here , is one reason why the sport is and won’t grow
